Disney World Old Key West Resort

Below is an alphabetical list of all Disney World resorts. You will notice several resorts appear very similar in names, for example Beach Club Resort and Beach Club Villas. Although these resorts share the same amenities and property location, they are considered separate resorts as they have different buildings and room layouts. Value Disney World Resorts

All Star Movies Resort

All-Star Movies Resort

The following resorts are considered value resorts, meaning they are the cheapest options for guests wanting to stay at a Disney World resort. Although they may not have the same amenities as moderate and deluxe resorts, they are still great options, especially for families who plan on spending most of their vacation at the parks. Primary reasons why guests typically avoid value resorts is because they lack hot tubs, character and table service dining options, and balconies outside their rooms.

The value Disney World resorts include:

  • All-Star Movies Resort
  • All-Star Music Resort
  • All-Star Sports Resort
  • Art of Animation Resort
  • Pop Century Resort

Despite the lack of certain amenities, value resorts still offer the same quality of rooms and overall Disney World fun as most of the other resorts on Disney World property. Additional perks of some of Disney World's value resorts include:

Moderate Disney World Resorts

Coronado Springs Resort

Coronado Springs Resort

Moderate resorts are also very popular options are they offer more amenities than value resorts but are still less expensive than deluxe resorts. Although there are only a few moderate level resorts, they are each great options to stay and offer nicer restaurants, rooms, bars and lounges, and overall atmospheres.

The moderate level Disney World resorts include:

  • The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
  • Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Coronado Springs Resort
  • Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
  • Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

Our favorite perks at staying at these moderate resorts include:

  • Restaurants: Each of these resorts has a wide variety of quick-service and table service restaurants that will be enjoyable for everyone in the family. We highly recommend Sebatian's Bistro at Caribbean Beach Resort. Port Orleans – French Quarter is also the only current place you can order Mickey-shaped beignets in all of Disney World.
  • Pools and Lounges: All of these moderate resorts offer nice bars and lounges which offer small bites and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. One of our favorite bars, Three Bridges Bar & Grill, is an open-air bar and restaurant at Coronado Springs. On weekends, they offer Sangria University which we highly recommend, especially for those over 21 years old.

Deluxe Disney World Resorts

Old Key West Resort Pool

Deluxe level resorts will never disappoint and have the best rooms, restaurants, pool areas, locations, and atmosphere of any Disney World resort. Most of these resorts are also our top picks for Disney World resorts for adults. You can't go wrong with any of these resorts that are all conveniently located and offer first class restaurants, rooms, and customer service.

The full list of deluxe Disney World resorts includes:

  • Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House)
  • Beach Club Resort
  • BoardWalk Inn
  • Contemporary Resort
  • Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Polynesian Village Resort
  • Wilderness Lodge
  • Yacht Club Resort

Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Resorts

Disney Vacation Club Resort Sign

The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is a time share program in which members purchase deeded real estate, or “points,” at a DVC resort. Members can then use their points towards a stay at any DVC resort. The number of points needed to book a stay depends on the resort, room size, and time of year. DVC resorts are located at Disney World, Disneyland, Tokyo Disney, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, as well as Ko Olina, Hawaii, Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Vero Beach, Florida.

All of the DVC resorts are considered deluxe level resorts, and include several resorts already mentioned above in the deluxe resort section. The DVC resorts at Disney World include the following:

  • Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House and Kidani Village
  • Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
  • Beach Club Villas
  • BoardWalk Villas
  • Boulder Ridge at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
  • The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness
  • Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
  • Old Key West Resort
  • Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
  • Riviera Resort
  • Saratoga Springs Resort
  • The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort

Purchasing or Renting DVC Points

Disney Vacation Club Booth

Since DVC contracts are large financial investments, there are a couple of options to save money and still use DVC points to book rooms. Guests have the option to purchase resale contracts which do not include the same DVC member benefits as purchasing direct from Disney, but are significantly cheaper. Guests also have the option of “renting” DVC points from members who don't intend on using their allotted points for the year.

The most convenient and safest way to rent DVC points is through certified agencies that specialize in helping DVC members rent their points to interest parties. Our highest recommended DVC point rental businesses are our partners at DVC Rental Store and David's Vacation Club Rentals. Both are completely safe and legitimate DVC point renters that offer the most secure ways to book your Disney World resort. There are several differences between DVC Rental Store vs David's Vacation Club Rentals, mainly being the price flexibility. DVC Rental Store only requires a 25% deposit for trips books at least 75 days in advance. However, David's Vacation Club Rentals requires a deposit to begin search availability, but typically has the lowest DVC point prices. Both DVC Rental Store and David's Vacation Club Rentals are accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

For those interested in purchasing resale DVC contracts, we highly recommend our partners at DVC Resale Market. DVC Resale Market offers the largest selection of DVC resale listings and offers a significantly lower cost than buying direct with Disney.

Other Hotel Options Near Disney World

Swan and Dolphin Hotel Disney World

Disney World guests also have options to stay “off” Disney World property in several nearby hotels. Notably there are seven different hotels near Disney Springs that offer the same perks as staying at Disney World resort such as early park entry and transportation between the parks. Read more details on Disney Springs area hotels, including our favorites, here.

Additionally, there are several resorts located within the Disney World property area that offer early park entry and shuttle service to Disney World, which are detailed here.

The biggest downsides to staying at some of these resorts is that they do not have the same Disney atmosphere and theme as most Disney World resorts. Guests of these resorts also typically have to pay for parking, which is complimentary during your stay at Disney World hotels. However, these resorts can often be cheaper and have more rooms available than some of the Disney World resorts, and can therefore be solid options for Disney World vacations.

We hope our list of Disney World resort hotels helps you figure out the best hotel for your trip.
