Best Disney World Resort Restaurants Ranked

With how often we visit Disney World, we’re happy to say that we’ve curated a list of the best Disney World resort table service restaurants.

Making this list was no small task, however. Given that Disney owns and operates 31 hotels in Disney World, there’s more than 50 table service restaurants to visit and review. And when you think one or two visits to a restaurant is enough, their menu changes and you have to visit again!

However, as a frequent visitor of both the Disney World theme parks and resort hotels, I’ve been fortunate enough to dine any many of these restaurants – some of them multiple times. And despite all this, there’s a still core list of Disney World restaurants that have remained the best in terms of location, dining environment, service, and of course, food quality.

The best part? You don’t have to stay at any of the Disney World hotels to dine at any of their restaurants!

Read on for our list of the best Disney World resort table service restaurants.

Categorizing the Best Disney World Resort Restaurants

Dining Reservation Check-In

Let’s face it: choosing the next table service restaurant to dine at is really hard given how many there are to choose from.

That’s why we’re breaking up our list of restaurants according to 3 categories:

Casual Table Service Restaurants: These restaurants are your table service restaurants without the price tag that can break the bank. In general, we recommend making an advanced dining reservation for these restaurants, but many times, you should be able to join a walk-up list through the My Disney Experience app. Here, we’re listing our top 3.

Signature Dining Table Service Restaurants: These restaurants are your table service restaurants but on an elevated, upscale level in terms of food, environment, service, and of course price point. These restaurants are great for celebrating a special occasion with your family or significant other, a romantic experience, or to simply to experience Disney upscale dining. You’ll definitely want an advanced dining reservation to dine here. Take note that these restaurants typically have a dress code, but it’s not strict. Here, we’re listing our top 7.

Character Dining Restaurants: These restaurants offer a chance to meet some of your favorite Disney characters while dining. They typically offer a family style, buffet, or prix fixe menu. Like the signature dining restaurants, we also highly recommend making an advanced dining reservation as these restaurants are very popular among guests! Here, we’re listing our top 4.

Best Casual Table Service Restaurants at Disney World

Casual Dining Restaurant

When it comes to casual table service restaurants at the Disney World resorts, we've got our top 3 based on location, dining environment, service, and food quality.

3. Sanaa

Sanaa

Where else can guests dine at a Disney World hotel with window views of a savanna full of wildlife?

Starting our list over at Kidani Village in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Sanaa is great for those who want to venture into the world of African cuisine with a more casual atmosphere compared to Jiko at Jambo House. A fan-favorite is the bread service, which consists of 5 different flavored naan breads and 9 different accompaniement sauces, making for what feels like an endless combination of flavors! And if you’re not up for the delicious Potjie-inspired bowls, there are still a few items that will feel familiar to some guests.

Seeing how easy it is to get an advanced dining reservation here, Sanaa is one of the most underrated restaurants at any Disney World hotel.

2. Steakhouse 71

Steakhouse 71

Next on our list located on the 1st floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort is Steakhouse 71, which has won the hearts of many guests since opening in 2021.

Straight away, the burger here is easily one of the best burgers anywhere in Disney World – I would get it again and again. Guests also love the French Onion Soup. And also very popular is the Steakhouse 71 Signature Chocolate Cake for dessert. If you’re not in the mood for lunch or dinner, the breakfast menu here is also worth trying!

Steakhouse 71, given its walking distance from Magic Kingdom, is a great table service restaurant to dine at for a mid-day Disney parks break.

1. Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue

Hoop Dee Doo Revue

Rounding out our list is hands-down one of the most unique dinner experiences at Disney World.

Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is offers a hilariously wonderful 2-hour dinner show including an all-you-care-to-eat menu of cornbread, salad, fried chicken, ribs, and sides. And while the really tasty food is served family-style in tin buckets for everyone to share, the real reason guests come here is for the show, where the Pioneer Hall Players will have everyone participating and having a grand time! Must-haves include the Fried Chicken, Cornbread, and Strawberry Shortcake!

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is absolutely worth the trip out to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Best Signature Dining Table Service Restaurants at Disney World

Riviera

When it comes to signature dining table service restaurants at the Disney World resorts, we've got our top 7 based on location, dining environment, service, and food quality.

7. Toledo

Toledo

Let’s start with one of the handful of rooftop restaurants at Disney World: Toledo.

Located at the top of Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Toledo serves up tapas and entrees with Spanish-inspired flavors. Walking in, guests immediately marvel at the tall windows and vividly-colored stained glass on the ceiling. In terms of food, the pan con tomate is easily the best version I’ve had on Disney property, and for the more adventurous palette, the Charred Octopus is a wonderful way to start your meal. Of course, just about any of the entrees on the menu are great. And with an open kitchen to watch your food being made, you can’t go wrong!

Toledo is arguably the best underrated restaurant at Disney World and starts our countdown of best signature service restaurants.

6. Flying Fish

Flying Fish

If you want an excellent seafood restaurant option, look no further than Flying Fish.

Over at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Flying Fish gives guests a wonderful menu of seafood as well as a few steak, chicken, and vegetarian options. Unlike Narcoossee’s, Flying Fish offers a more whimsical and modern theming with its upscale dining experience. And like Narcoossee’s, when you dine here, prepare to be blown away by the food quality and preparation that goes into every single plate.

And with it being at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, you get access to EPCOT and all of EPCOT resort hotels!

5. Yachtsman Steakhouse

Yachtasman Steakhouse

For the carnivores, Yachtsman Steakhouse is in my opinion the best steak restaurant at Disney World.

Located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Yachtsman Steakhouse gives a nautical theming with an upscale vibe. Immediately when walking in, guests’ mouths will water as they see the open kitchen and butcher block where they can watch chefs carve out each steak they’re going to cook. Everything on the menu, from the bread service and appetizers to the entrees and desserts are all foods to write home about. And trust me, you’ll savor very single bite of any steak you choose from this fine dining restaurant. And after all that wonderful food, why not take a stroll around Crescent Lake afterwards to walk it off?

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a must for guests who love a prime choice cut of steak.

4. California Grill

California Grill

Situated at the tippy-top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, California Grill sits just inside our top 5 restaurants at the Disney World hotels.

California Grill is one of the most incredible fine dining experiences any Disney World guest can have. Having been recognized by the Michelin Guide for its incredible quality, market-inspired menus, and innovative chefs, every Disney World guest must dine here at least once. Its 3-course selection menu featuring “contemporary, market-inspired cuisine” is sure to leave you completely satisfied!

And with wonderful views of Magic Kingdom and the nighttime spectacular along its outdoor terrace, the rooftop view is surely a cherry on top.

3. Narcoossee’s

Narcoossee’s

Next up, if Flying Fish is a seafood restaurant with a whimsical and modern feel, Narcoossee’s is a seafood restaurant with an elegant-but-understated feel.

Narcoossee’s has an understated by beautiful beach theme and offers a menu mostly made up of seafood. Situated on the shore of Seven Seas Lagoon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Narcoossee’s is the premier seafood restaurant at Disney World. The lobster bisque will completely change your perspective on seafood soup, and although the Roasted Vegetable Paella is vegetarian, it’s my personal favorite – and you can add a side of seafood to it!

The best part: If you time your dinner right, you get waterside views of the Magic Kingdom nighttime spectacular and the Electric Water Pageant!

2. Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera – Dinner

Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is near the top of my list when looking for a signature restaurant for dinner at Disney World.

From its beautiful-but-not-stuffy theming and its rooftop views of Disney World and World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT to its unbelievable menu, you simply cannot go wrong dining here. I was recently turned on to the Classic Sole Meuniére, which is a fan-favorite. However, the Rigatoni is still my all-time favorite dish here.

And with an outdoor terrace to watch the EPCOT nighttime spectacular, how could you go wrong?

1. Victoria & Albert’s

Victoria and Albert’s

However, if you want the best of the best fine dining experience, look no further than Victoria 7 Albert’s.

Located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Victoria & Albert’s boasts a AAA five-diamond restaurant rating. Guests can choose between 3 tasting menus, which includes up to 11 courses brought to them by 2 dedicated servers. Of course, with all this quality comes a quality price. Come prepared with your Sunday best outfit and a minimum of $200 per person.

This multi-hour experience is a meal you’re likely to remember for a very long time!

Best Character Dining Restaurants at Disney World

Cinderella

When it comes to character dining restaurants at the Disney World resorts, we've got our top 3 based on location, dining environment, service, and food quality.

3. ‘Ohana

‘Ohana card

To start the countdown of the best character dining restaurants at Disney World, ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is surely a favorite and at the top of many guests’ best-restaurant list at Disney World.

Its all-you-care-to-eat Polynesian breakfast served family style combined with its island atmosphere keeps guests coming back, making reservations difficult to get! And how could you not love to meet Mickey in his Aloha shirt, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch while feasting! The food includes eggs, potatoes, Mickey waffles, ham, pineapple, and other fresh fruits!

‘Ohana keeps families coming back again and again.

2. Artist Point – Story Book Dining with Snow White

Artist Point

Next up, if you’re a Disney princess fan, you’re going to want to visit Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Serving up more upscale meals, guests get to see Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and even The Evil Queen while dining! Unless you’re attending a special event, many of these characters are hard to find elsewhere at Disney World! Not to mention, the food here is quite delicious.

If you’re looking for a character dining experience without a theme park ticket, Artist Point is a wonderful choice.

1. Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera – Breakfast

Topolino’s Breakfast

And to round us out is Topolino’s Terrace.

Okay, that’s not fair – Topolino’s Terrace is on here twice!

The thing is, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera offers character dining for breakfast and it’s so worth every penny you pay. Not only do you get a chance to take a picture with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy in their cute outfits. You also get really tasty breakfast bread service and your choice from a variety of amazing entrée options! For a full review of our experience, click here!

We can’t recommend this character dining meal enough!

From this list, there you have incredible restaurant options to choose from when it comes to dining at the Disney World resorts. Choose one from this list, and you simply cannot go wrong!

What is the most famous food in Disney world?

From talking to guests and reading what writers have to say online, the most famous food in Disney World is likely a toss up between the following: Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Sandwich, Mickey Waffle, Mickey-Shaped Pretzel, and DOLE Whip. However, if I were to guess the most famous food from a table service restaurant in Disney World, I would argue that it’s the Rigatoni from Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera.

How do I choose dining at Disney?

You can choose dining at Disney in 1 of 3 ways: online through the Walt Disney World website, through the My Disney Experience app, or by making a walk-up reservation on the day you want to dine. We highly recommend making your reservation through the My Disney Experience app, which is the most convenient and streamlined way to make an advanced dining reservation.

What is Walt Disney's favorite restaurant?

Walt Disney’s favorite restaurant was likely the Tam O’Shanter, located down the street from the Disney Studios in Burbank, California. Walt and a few of his animators would dine here so frequently that Walt even had his own personal table whenever he would visit!

What is the best time to eat dinner at Disney?

When it comes to dining in the theme parks, the best time to eat dinner at Disney is between 4-5pm and between 7:30-9:00pm. Eating outside of normal dinner hours allows you to sit down and eat with less of the big rush of guests. However, when it comes to dining at table service restaurants, the best time to eat dinner is either around sunset or right before the nighttime spectaculars start.
