Although I will go over the various Costco Disney World packages available, you will learn that there are better options to purchase Disney World tickets. Potential Downsides to Booking Disney World Packages through Costco
Although there are several positives to booking a Disney World vacation through Costco, detailed more below, there are also a few things to be aware of. When it comes down to it, the actual cost of Costco vacation packages are not discounted. Costco is merely booking the vacation for the same price that you would get when booking directly through Disney.
Additionally, Costco requires a fairly high initial deposit that even exceeds deposits required when booking through Disney. All Disney World theme park tickets must be paid in full at the time of booking in addition to $100 per person on the reservation. Additionally, the remaining balance of a Costco Travel vacation package must be paid in full by 45 days before check-in. This is 15 days earlier than what booking directly with Disney requires.
Lastly, Costco is NOT able to book a Disney Dining Plan for its members. You are also not able to modify your Costco package through Disney after booking to add a dining plan. For guests interested in a Disney Dining Plan, you must book your resort reservation directly through Disney.
With that said, there are some positives to booking Disney World vacation packages through Costco, which we detail more below. This primarily includes the standard 2% annual reward when booking through Costco Travel, as well as the convenience of easy booking through Costco's website or store. Additionally, Costco offers several add-ons which are all great options for a vacation to Florida.

Costco Disney World Vacation Packages – Transportation
Members who book a Costco Disney World vacation package will receive free round-trip transportation between the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and their resort through MEARS Connect. This is a nice perk as guests typically have to pay to use this service. Normally, MEARS costs $17.60 per adult and $14.30 per child one way and $33.60 per adult and $27.30 per child round trip. Children under three years old always ride for free on MEARS Connect.
Costco Disney World Vacation Packages – Additional Activities
When booking a Costco Disney World vacation package, members have options to add additional Florida experiences to their vacation. Any of these add-ons would be a great addition to any Disney World vacation, especially if you do not plan on renting a car. All of the add-ons include transportation to experiences at beaches or the Kennedy Space Center which are all between 1-2 hours away from Disney World. The experiences include:
- Clearwater Beach Bus: Members can take a break from busy theme park days to enjoy a relaxing day at Clearwater Beach which is approximately two hours from Disney World. This add-on includes a bus which takes members to and from Clearwater Beach on the Gray Line of Orlando. Buses depart between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. Although the return time is not listed on Costco's website, it states the tour would last approximately 12 hours, meaning you would spend the whole day at Clearwater Beach. The price of the Clearwater Beach bus is approximately $75 per adult.
- Clearwater Beach and Lunch: For an extra $20 (approximately $95 per person total), members can book a Clearwater Beach day and lunch option. This add on includes the round-trip bus fare to and from Clearwater Beach as well as a lunch voucher which is valid at a local café.
- Daytona Beach Day: Similarly, the Costco Disney World vacation packages offer a round trip bus ride between Disney World and Daytona Beach, which is just over an hour away from Disney World. The bus also departs between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM and is described as a ten hour tour. The price of the bus ride to Daytona costs approximately $76 per adult.
- Daytona Beach and Lunch: Guests can purchase a lunch voucher with their Daytona bus fare for an additional $20 per person (approximately $96 per person total). The lunch voucher is valid at a local café in Daytona Beach.
- Kennedy Space Center Tour: For approximately $126 per person, Costco members can book transportation and admission to the Kennedy Space Center, which is approximately an hour from Disney World. Tour highlights are listed as unlimited access to the visitors complex exhibits, shuttle launch experience, touch a piece of real moon rock, walk underneath the Saturn V, and experience the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
