Best Breakfast at Disneyland Resort

One of the keys to a long, fun day at Disneyland Resort is a great breakfast. A good early meal will keep your stomach satisfied and can bring a smile to your face. Whether you are looking for options at one of the parks, Downtown Disney, or the hotels, there are great choices here for everyone for Disneyland breakfast options.

Disneyland Breakfast Quick Options

If you are looking to fill yourself quickly and move on to the rides and attractions within the park, look no further for quick Disneyland breakfast ideas. You’ll still be able to find some great options here without sacrificing as much of your time.

Disneyland Breakfast Quick Service

The Galactic Grill at Tomorrowland within Disneyland Park offers breakfast options between open at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Options include breakfast burritos and sandwiches, which both include bacon, sausage, egg, cheese, and hash browns for $10.99 and French toast sticks for $7.99. This is a great option for those looking to eat as they’re making their way through Tomorrowland or after taking a trip on the Disney Monorail.

Within Fantasy Faire sits Maurice’s Treats. This Beauty and the Beast-themed kiosk serves snacks all day. Among these snacks are Maurice’s Pieces and Churro Gears, two donut-themed options that are great for breakfast. Maurice’s pieces are donut holes covered in your choice of chocolate sugar, cinnamon sugar, or milk and cookies sugar for $5.50. A Churro Gear is a donut covered in cinnamon sugar and costs $3.99 each. Either option is a great quick breakfast, especially to pair with a hot chocolate or coffee.

A more hidden breakfast dining option is available at the Ship to Shore Marketplace in Disneyland Park. This small kiosk is right across the way from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Here, you can find breakfast chimichangas until 11:00 AM or, which is wildly more likely, until they sell out. These cult-favorites amongst Disneyland regulars are often gone quick. If you can get there in time, I highly recommend these little treats that will run you just under $6 apiece.

Within Galaxy's Edge, one can also find a great quick breakfast pita. Ronto Roasters offers the Morning Wrap, which consists of eggs, sausage, cheddar, and a peppercorn sauce wrapped within a pita, for $13.49. Alternately, one can go for the plant-based sausage wrap with kimchi slaw, pickled cucumbers, and gochujang spread. This option costs $13.99 instead.

California Adventure Breakfast Quick Service

At California Adventure, the Corn Dog Castle serves breakfast between 8:30 AM and noon. This daytime snack favorite spot’s breakfast is lesser known but still worth a consideration. Their breakfast features a sausage and egg corndog for $9.99. It is not a huge meal that will leave you overstuffed, but it is a great guilty pleasure to try.

The Shawarma Palace also features a singular breakfast option that is worth a try. Their sha-warm-up contains a plant-based breakfast sausage and egg omelet wrap with potato bites. It costs $13.49 and can be purchased between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Downtown Disney Breakfast

If you are looking for a quick option while walking through Downtown Disney, I have to recommend Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. At their express shop, you can grab the New Orleans famous beignets, which are a great guilty breakfast pleasure. They are served between 9:00 AM and 10:30 PM. Four will cost you $9.99, six run $12.99, and a family ten pack costs $15.99. You can also get a dipping sauce of chocolate, caramel, or raspberry for an extra $1.99. These are great anytime of the day, but they especially hit the spot in the morning hours to wake you up.

Starbucks in the Park

Another great quick option for breakfast is a pastry or breakfast sandwich and coffee. Both Disneyland Park and California Adventure have their own Starbucks offerings. On main street in Disneyland, it is referred to as the Market House. In California Adventure, it is Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café. Within either location, you can grab the famous franchise's coffee, refreshers, and Frappuccinos. You can add to this from various breakfast selections, including muffins, danishes, croissants, and vegan or meat breakfast sandwiches. All together, you will have a quick and simple pickup in the morning.

These are both great options for Disneyland breakfast offerings in the mornings.

Disneyland Breakfast Table Service Options

There are also great dining options to consider if you are looking for somewhere to sit down and relax for Disneyland breakfast. Below are some of our favorites at each park as well as a great option outside of the parks to consider.

Disneyland Breakfast Sit Down Options

The Beauty and the Beast themed Red Rose Tavern has a good selection of options for breakfast between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. This includes a breakfast sandwich and breakfast platter with a croissant. Personally, I feel that the Mickey-shaped pancake is a great on-theme option to start your day. It is covered by a berry compote and comes with your choice of bacon or sausage for $9.49.

Another great option at the Disneyland Park is the Carnation Café. They serve breakfast from open to 11:00 AM. To rival the Red Rose Tavern’s Mickey Pancake, the Carnation Café offers their own mouse-shaped breakfast food. Their Mickey waffle comes with your choice of bacon or sausage for $15.00. I also recommend their breakfast skillet for $17.00. It contains cheese, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and a tomato garnish. Other options include breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, and oats.

California Adventure Breakfast Options

In California Adventure, the Pym Test Kitchen offers a small list of breakfast options. They serve their breakfast menu from open until 10:15 AM. My choice here would be the Ever-Expanding Cinna-Pym Toast with bacon and maple syrup for $12.49. Still, I would recommend the Corn Dog Castle or Shawarma Palace over this if you are at California Adventure.

The Lamplight Lounge has recently began serving brunch. It is only on weekends between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Prices here sit between $20 and $30 an entrée. Choices include chilaquiles, a brunch burger, crab and potato benedict, and avocado toast. Even during this brunch serving, you can choose from their dozens of alcoholic options if you're feeling adventurous. That includes an extensive list of beer, wine, and mixed drinks options.

Disneyland Hotel Breakfast

The Disneyland Hotel features one of the most unique breakfast dining experiences in all of Disneyland Resort. The Tangaro Terrace features Polynesian inspired cuisine. Their most enticing options are the Loco Moco Burrito and Thick and Fluffy Japanese Pancakes. The Loco Moco Burrito contains a garlic beef patty, jasmine rice, and potatoes covered in gravy for $15.00. Their Japanese Pancakes are three small, thick Japanese-style pancakes topped with tropical fruits and fruit syrup. It costs $14.00. Other options here include an American Breakfast, Short Ribs Steak and Eggs, and Avocado Toast.

Disneyland Breakfast Character Dining

Character Dining is some of the most magical experiences you can have for a good Disneyland breakfast. These events are costly, but they offer unhindered access to characters without waiting in lines like elsewhere in the park. Prices here are representative, but they sometimes can be changed based on the season you visit. It is also important to schedule ahead and reserve your spot.

Minnie and Friends – Breakfast in the Park

Located at the Plaza Inn, this is the only character dining experience at Disneyland Park. It is a buffet-style restaurant that is open between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Costs generally range between $34 and $41 for those 10 or over and $19 and $24 for children between 3 and 9. Food options include waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, hash browns, and other breakfast staples. It is a great opportunity for children and the child in us all to meet with a rotating cast of characters. They are open to interact with guests, sign autographs, and take pictures as well.

Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Character Breakfast at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

Another buffet style breakfast experience, this is the only one that features Mickey Mouse himself. There are no other guaranteed characters, but Chip and Dale frequent this spot and you might get lucky with another character or two during your breakfast. Prices are generally $49 for adults and $29 for children.

Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Disney’s Grand California Hotel

Located within the Napa Rose restaurant, this experience is the cream of the crop when it comes to Disney breakfast. It features multiple Disney princesses, potentially including Tiana, Rapunzel, Ariel, and others. These princesses will interact with guests during their three-course meals. Princesses also will interact with diners for special events, ranging from story time with Belle to learning warrior poses with Mulan. This experience costs $125 per guest and includes the breakfast, event, picture opportunities with the princesses, and keepsakes for every guest. It is a steep price but is sure to cap off any Disney trip with an unforgettable experience for Disney Princess lovers.
