The Sip and Savor pass provides you with 8 entitlement tabs that you can use to taste your way through the Food and Wine Festival and purchase food and drinks in advance (sans alcoholic beverages and merchandise). Each marketplace offers the opportunity to redeem an entitlement tab for one food or drink item at participating locations.

At restaurant locations, the Sip and Savor pass allows you to access tasting-sized portions, which is perfect so that you don’t fill up all at one stop! Guests can use Sip and Savor passes over multiple visits, and these expire April 25, 2023.

In addition to accessing Sip and Savor at a lower price, Magic Key holders have access to exclusive items.

Make sure to hang onto these passes tightly! If you lose a Sip and Savor pass (or if it is stolen or destroyed), it cannot be replaced or refunded.

Tips for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival

Tip #1: You can order items from marketplaces other than the one you're currently at. First, pick up a Disney Food and Wine Festival guide and peruse the menus of each food booth to decide which foods you want to try. Then, find the marketplace with the shortest line! Order all of your group's food items from this one booth and then keep the receipt with you to redeem your food.

Tip #2: After you mark in your passport which food items look appealing, use your selections to gauge how many Sip and Savor passes you’ll want to purchase for your group. Some food items, while delicious, are much heavier than others! Keep in mind if your group is composed of particularly voracious or light eaters. If you’re a light eater and know you’ll be full after a couple of filling items, it might be worth sharing a pass with another member of your group to make good use of the remaining tabs. Our party of three (a mix of heavy and light eaters) would have been full from one Sip and Savor pass + a couple of a la carte items.

Tip #3: If you choose to mix Sip and Savor and a la carte purchases, make sure to use Sip and Savor for the higher-priced food items and save the purchases for cheaper items.

Soarin' Over California Returns for a Limited Time

Soarin' Over California is returning to California Adventure in honor of the Food and Wine Festival! Fly over the Golden Gate Bridge, experience the majesty of Yosemite, and inhale the smell of oranges and pine as you soar over different locations in the Golden State. (Watch out for that Mickey golfball too!) Many fans are ecstatic at the nostalgic return of the original version of the ride.

Though ending dates are not yet announced, the ride's run will likely end alongside the festival on April 25th.

California Food and Wine Festival Seminars

The Food and Wine Festival offers multiple seminars for wine, beer, and mixology. Each is 45 minutes long, hosted at the Sonoma Terrace at Golden Vine Winery and guided by an industry expert who will walk guests through sample tastings. These educational seminars include wine food pairing suggestions, an overview of how beer is made, and an opportunity to mix the featured drink during the mixology seminars.

Space is very limited for these, so make sure to sign up in advance when planning your visit!
