Tips for Visiting Disney World While Pregnant

All Star Movies Resort

While there is plenty to do while being pregnant at Disney World, expecting mothers should always consult with their doctor before visiting Disney World to ensure both mother and baby remain safe and healthy. Although Disney World has much to offer even while pregnant, there are still certain risks associated with walking around a theme park, especially on consecutive days.

Our biggest tips to help make trips to Disney World while pregnant more enjoyable include:

Pack Comfortable Clothing and Supportive Shoes

Magic Kingdom Crowds

Although we cover a lot in our packing list guide for a Disney World trip, guests who are pregnant need to take extra precautions while packing. We can't stress enough how important it is to choose clothes that are comfortable versus fashionable. We highly recommend athleisure as it is the most comfortable, supportive, and helps combat central Florida's unpredictable weather. Especially for guests in their third trimester at Disney World, comfortable clothing will be very important.

Additionally, shoes are also important for all guests traveling to Disney, but especially those who are pregnant. Although you may already have your favorite, our top recommended shoes for Disney trips can be found here. Even if you are only in your first trimester at Disney World, shoes can be such a big difference and help make the trip more enjoyable.

Choose a Convenient Resort

Riviera Resort at Disney World

We know there are many options when it comes to choosing a place to stay for any Disney World trip. If you are visiting Disney World with other children, be sure to check out our favorite Disney World resorts for toddlers and babies. There are many things to consider if you are planning a trip to Disney World while pregnant such as resorts with convenient transportation, resorts that offer suites or have kitchens, or are located on Disney's monorail or Skyliner.

Regardless, make sure you choose a resort that works for you and isn't too much of a hassle. We also recommend requesting a room that is on the first floor or is near the lobby/bus station so that you do not have a long walk to your room.

Essential Supplies – Vitamins, Sunscreen, Snacks, Etc.

We always recommend bringing extra supplies to your resort room and in your theme park bag for anyone pregnant at Disney World. This could include prenatal vitamins, supplements, or medications. It's also so important for expecting mothers to bring sunscreen and moisturizers for skin protection, especially in Florida. Lastly, Disney's bag policy permits small snacks, drinks, and reusable water bottles. We highly recommend bringing extra snacks and water to ensure proper nutrition and hydration for long days in the park.
