You may be surprised to find that there are several different sites and avenues to find discounted Disney gift cards which can help save tons of money on your next vacation.

Disney gift cards can be used at all Disney theme parks, resorts, gift shops, restaurants, and most retail stores and restaurants at Disney Springs. This article will discuss the different ways to find the best Disney World gift card discounts.

Target Red Card – 5% Cash Back on the Purchase of Disney Gift Cards

The Target Red Card is Target's retail credit, debit, and reloadable card that can save customers 5% off their purchases both in store at Target and online. This benefit includes the purchase of Disney gift cards at face value. While the Disney gift cards technically will not be cheaper, you will receive 5% cash back with your Red card which will ultimately save you money on your Disney gift card purchase. 

Target also offers Red Cardholder customers various benefits including:

• Access to exclusive special items and offers at Target
• A larger return window with an additional 30 days for returns and exchanges
• Free 2-day shipping on hundreds of thousands of items on Target's website

Additionally, one of the best parts about the Target Red Card is they have no annual or monthly fees which is not typical for rewards-based credit cards, especially cards offering 5% cash back.

It should be noted that while you can use the Target Red Card to purchase Disney and other gift cards, you cannot use the Target Red Card to purchase Target gift cards, prepaid cards, Game On, Starbucks, or lottery gift cards. Customers cannot use gift cards to make payments to their Target Red credit card balance, and Target gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

The 5% cash back includes purchases made on Target's Red Card credit cards, reloadable cards, and debit cards. This also is very convenient for customers who do not want to apply for or have another credit card in their wallet. Disney Premier Chase Visa Credit Card – Disney Cash Back Rewards

The Disney Premier Visa credit card from Chase offers cash back rewards in the form of Disney gift cards as well as several other Disney-related benefits which should be considered for anyone planning on visiting Disney.

Chase Premier Visa cardholders earn one dollar per reward point which can be converted into a Disney gift card. Cardholders can also use their “points” for AMC Theatre movie tickets or travel expenses including airline fare. 

Disney Premier Visa – Cash Back Rewards

The Disney Premier Visa Credit Card cash back options include:

• 5% cash back on purchases made directly at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, or ESPNPlus.com. Additionally, Disney Premier Visa cardholders can earn cash back totaling $14.99 per month for three consecutive months in statement credits on quality Disney Bundle subscription purchases. These subscriptions must total $14.99 or more and be purchased with their Disney Premier Visa credit card.
• 2% cash back on purchases made at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and most Disney U.S. locations. Disney locations include the theme parks, resorts, restaurants, and gift shops. 
• 1% cash back on all other purchases using the Disney Premier Visa credit card

In addition the above cash back rewards which are always included with your Disney Premier Visa credit card, Chase cardholders also have access to special limited time deals on groceries, restaurants, gas stations, and retail stores for a limited time. These cash back rewards can total up to 20% cash back, however cardholders will need to “activate” these deals which are not automatically included with credit card usage. 

Disney Premier Visa – Disney Discounts

Disney Premier Visa Credit Cardholders can also receive various discounts at Disney locations in addition to the cash back rewards. For example:

• Savings aboard Disney Cruise Line when using your card to pay for select onboard purchases. These savings include discounts on spa packages, Castaway Cay Getaway Packages in the Bahamas, and non-discounted digital photo packages
• 10% off select merchandise purchases at select locations and 10% off select dining locations most days at both Disney World and Disneyland Resort
• 10% off select merchandise purchases at shopDisney.com

Disney Premier Visa – Other Benefits and Extras

Lastly, there are other nice perks to being a Disney Premier Visa cardholder for Disney fans, including:

• Chase Cardholder Exclusive Photo Spots at EPCOT and Disneyland. Between 1 PM and 6:30 PM each day, EPCOT offers a special character meet and complimentary digital photo in World Celebration near the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. Between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, Disney California Adventure Park offers a special character meet and complimentary digital photo near Stage 17 in Hollywood Land. Between 2 PM and 6 PM, there is a special Star Wars meet and greet and complimentary photo located Star Wars Launch Bay. Just remember to bring your credit card to gain access to these photo ops! 
• Choose from a variety of Disney-inspired designs to customize the card with your favorite character or Disney designs
• Receive a $300 statement credit after making $1,000 in qualified purchases within the first three months of credit card opening

Overall, we believe the Chase Disney Premier Visa credit card is a great option for families who visit Disney World or the Disneyland Resort fairly frequently. It is also a good option for customers who regularly make purchases at Shop Disney due to the 10% discount. It allows customers to earn cash back towards a Disney gift card or travel expenses on everyday purchases. 

The biggest downside of this credit card is the $49 annual fee, however, if you use it enough this fee will pay for itself very quickly. Additionally, Chase offers a Disney Visa Debit Card with no annual fees. Although the cash back rewards don't come with the debit card, you can still receive the other perks discussed above and avoid the annual fee. 

Disney Gift Card Discounts at Costco, Sam's Club, and BJ's

Memberships at Costco, Sam's Club, and BJ's Wholesale clubs can also come in handy when searching for discounted Disney gift cards. These wholesalers almost always have discounted gift cards for sale both in store and online. 

Usually these gift cards do not have huge discounts, but many times the wholesalers have limited time savings for up to $25 per gift card. For example, Costco recently offered its members Disney gift cards totaling $250 for only $224.99. Usually these bigger offers have a limit of two gift cards per purchase, however, it is an extremely easy and convenient way to save money. 

If you don't already have a wholesale club membership, it's usually fairly inexpensive and can offer a variety of other gift card deals. They also offer discounted gas, food, clothing, vacation packages, and even auto-related services such as tires. Groupon commonly offers Sam's Club memberships for a discounted price as well, and we highly recommend a wholesale club membership to save money on Disney and everyday expenses. The cost of a membership will absolutely for itself very quickly throughout the year with all the savings wholesale clubs offer. 

We highly recommend periodically checking the price of Disney gift cards at your wholesale club for these types of huge savings on Disney gift cards. Bundling Multiple Disney Gift Cards Together

Now that you've purchased several gift cards at a discounted price, you will probably want to combine all of them into one card for convenience and safety before your trip. Please note that Disney gift cards have a limit of $1,000 per gift card. Therefore, if you have gift cards totaling over $1,000, you will need to keep separate gift cards and make multiple transactions on larger purchases such as ticket and hotel packages. 

Lastly, be sure to keep your gift card until after your vacation, even if the gift card has been used. If you purchase a ticket or hotel that needs to be canceled or refunded, Disney will give the refund on whatever form of payment that was used, including gift cards.
