Many argue one of the best desserts in all of Disney World is the DOLE Whip, and I tend to agree! This article lists all DOLE Whip offerings in Disney World and where to find them, as well as my top DOLE Whip flavors ranked in order. Our DOLE Whips ranked guide will provide you all the information you need to know on finding this iconic treat.

I am a Walt Disney World annual passholder, Disney Vacation Club member, and live about an hour away from the parks. I visit Disney multiple times a month and this article is based on my experience with desserts and snacks around Disney property.

What are DOLE Whips?

DOLE Whip is a fruit-flavored, dairy-free soft-serve dessert that is widely considered one of the Top 10 Most Addictive Desserts at Disney World. DOLE Whip was introduced at the Magic Kingdom in 1984 when the DOLE Company became the Enchanted Tiki Room attraction's official sponsor. Since then, DOLE Whips have become a popular staple dessert at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

Today, there are dozens of DOLE Whip flavors, floats, and swirl varieties that most guests enjoy during their Disney vacation. In 2023, DOLE Whips were introduced in grocery stores due to their mass popularity. Disney even released a recipe for both DOLE Whip ice cream and a pineapple cupcake inspired by DOLE Whip for those interested in making variations of the iconic dessert at home. This is why we decided that we needed a list of DOLE Whips ranked!

No trip to Disney is complete without enjoying at least one DOLE Whip, especially on a hot Florida day. As an added bonus, all DOLE Whip flavors are vegan and gluten-free when not swirled or combined with other soft-serve ice cream.

At Disney World, DOLE Whips come in a variety of soft serve flavors including the original classic pineapple flavor, orange, cherry, lime, and raspberry. Depending on what type of flavors are available, you can request swirls of two different soft serve flavors, such as pineapple, coconut, and vanilla. You can also order DOLE Whips in a cup, cone, or as a float with a variety of juices or sodas including pineapple juice or Fanta.

DOLE Whips Ranked Locations and Offerings

DOLE Whips are available at all Disney World theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, and several resorts. Many times, there are seasonal flavors or flights to try for a limited time, so keep an eye out for new offerings. The most flavors and varieties can be found at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and the Polynesian Resort. The newly opened Swirls on the Water kiosk at Disney Springs has also become very popular in terms of unique and seasonal flavors including their DOLE Whip samplers. If possible, I always recommend using the mobile order feature in the My Disney Experience App to pre-order your DOLE Whip in order to prevent possible long lines.

DOLE Whips Ranked

While I do not believe there are any bad-tasting DOLE Whip flavors or combinations, there are several must-try DOLE Whips at Disney World which we list in our DOLE whips ranked list. The following DOLE Whips ranked list are the top five DOLE Whip flavors ranked according to my own personal opinion and experience.

5. Classic Pineapple

You can't go wrong with the classic pineapple DOLE Whip in a cup or float with pineapple juice. Even though DOLE Whip can be found in grocery stores today, it just doesn't taste the same as enjoying one in Disney World. Although I love all of the other DOLE Whip flavors, pineapple will always reign supreme.

4. Pineapple and Vanilla Swirl

The pineapple DOLE Whip and vanilla soft serve ice cream is a classic and always dependable choice. I usually recommend this to guests when they don't want anything as heavy as a float, but something different instead of just the pineapple flavor. Additionally, it's very commonly found throughout Disney property. It's always a big hit!

3. Hei Hei Cone

For ice cream cone lovers, the Hei Hei cone located at Typhoon Lagoon water park is one of the best. The pineapple and raspberry DOLE whip swirl is a delicious combination, and the ice cream cone puts it over the top. If you aren't able to make it to the water park, you can always request this swirl at other locations that offer both pineapple and raspberry flavors.

2. Pineapple and Coconut Swirl

Adding coconut soft serve to the already delicious pineapple DOLE Whip is one of the best combinations. Served at Aloha Isle Refreshments in the Magic Kingdom, this combination in either a cup of as a float is refreshing and delicious.

1. I Lava You Float

The I Lava You Float, located at Sunshine Terrace Treats in Magic Kingdom, is both unique and delicious. The float contains orange-flavored DOLE Whip, Fanta Strawberry soda, and popping candy, none of which are commonly offered as DOLE Whip flavors. I tried this float for the first time a few months ago and could not believe I hadn't enjoyed it sooner. The popping candy is also very nostalgic for those who remember Pop Rocks.

Honorable Mentions

I did not include any alcoholic versions in the DOLE Whips ranked list in order to include flavors everyone can enjoy. However, my top alcoholic flavors would be the Frozcato, located The Basket at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs. This drink is very refreshing and is the only DOLE Whip flavor with wine which I think goes great with DOLE Whip. If you're interested in something stronger, the DOLE Whip Pineapple Juice Float with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, found at Animal Kingdom, is a very popular and delicious option with liquor.

Additionally, the current seasonal ‘Olu Mel Holiday Dole Whip float located at the Polynesian Resort is one of my current favorites. The lime DOLE Whip flavor is often incorporated in seasonal or limited time offerings for a good reason. Although this holiday float is available for a limited time, lime flavored DOLE Whip with any combination is always a great option.
