Disney Springs is known for their first in class retail stores, restaurants, and of course, desserts. There are so many options to choose from when looking for the best Disney Springs desserts which can be overwhelming. This article breaks down all of the dessert locations at Disney Springs that offer the best dessert options. While all of these desserts are delicious and unique in their own right, we also rank the best Disney Springs desserts.

I am a Disney World annual passholder, Disney Vacation Club member, and live about an hour away from the parks. I visit Disney Springs monthly and this article is based on my knowledge and experience on the best Disney Springs desserts and experiences.

Best Disney Springs Desserts – Counter Service Locations

Fortunately, most desserts at Disney Springs can be found at counter service locations that do not require a reservation. However, some of these spots are so popular that they require a virtual queue or early entry. Below is a list of all the best counter service locations to buy desserts throughout Disney Springs.

The Ganachery

The Ganachery, located in The Landing area of Disney Springs, offers handcrafted ganache squares and other treats such as artisanal s'mores, ganache pops, and chilled chocolate beverages. Often times you can watch these desserts being made in store by expert chocolatiers. These desserts make a great souvenir to bring home and are almost too beautiful eat!

Gideon's Bakehouse

Gideon's Bakehouse, also located in The Landing area of Disney Springs, is by far the most popular dessert location in Disney Springs. It is so popular that most days you need to sign into a virtual queue to even see the inside of the building. Gideon's is known for their desserts but also their building's Victorian-style atmosphere which is just as impressive and an experience in itself. Not only do guests usually need to enter a virtual queue to visit Gideon's, but they are also known for secret limited edition desserts that are offered every day on a first come first serve basis.

Gideon's is widely known for their “almost half pound” cookies that take over 24 hours to create! Gideon's also serves cake slices and iced drinks including coffee, such as the Original Peanut Butter Iced Coffee. There is also a Hot Cookie Hour twice each day between 2pm and 3pm and again between 7pm and 8pm when you can enjoy Gideon's classic chocolate chip cookie straight from the oven. Gideon's is a must do for any dessert lover when visiting Disney Springs, however, we recommend arriving to Disney Springs as early as possible and preparing to wait in both a virtual and physical queue.

Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw is one of the newest dessert locations at Disney Springs and is located on the West Side area near AMC Theaters. Salt & Straw is a family-run ice cream shop offering many unique flavors including limited time seasonal flavors. Guests always have the option to sample as many flavors as they wish and can order ice cream in a cup, cone, pint, or milkshake. Several delicious dairy-free options are also always available. After Salt & Straw's success at the Disneyland Resort, many were very excited to see Salt & Straw come to Disney Springs and it is arguably the best spot to get ice cream at Disney Springs.

Amorette's Patisserie

Amorette's Patisserie, located in the Town Center area of Disney Springs, is an upscale French pastry shop known for their Disney character-inspired dome cakes. Amorette's also offers signature pastries and desserts including macarons, crème brûlée, cookies, éclairs, and “Mickey Mousse.” Amorette's also has a variety of crepes, including apple pie, strawberry and crème, and banana and hazelnut. This location also serves sandwich combos which includes a sandwich and choice of dessert, as well as both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Amorette's Patisserie is one of three counter service dessert locations at Disney Springs that allows guests to pre-order food on the My Disney Experience app.

Amorette's signature Petit Cake is made of eleven layers which includes red velvet cake, chocolate cake, cherry mousse, chocolate mousse, raspberry pate de fruit jelly, and Italian buttercream. Guests can also order Disney character-inspired dome cakes that resemble Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, or Goofy. These cakes can be made with your choice of four different flavors:

• Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Milk Chocolate Mousse, Orange Pate De Fruit Jelly
• Lemon Chiffon Cake, White Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Pate De Fruit Jelly
• Gluten-Friendly Biscuit Sans Farina (Flourless Chocolate Cake), Dark Chocolate Mousse
• Premium Bar – Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Ice Cream Flavored Mousse

Guests must pre-order these signature cakes by phone (407-934-3500) or stop by Amorette's Patisserie at least 48 hours in advance. Some cakes may be available for delivery to your Disney resort, but it is not guaranteed. These cakes are great for celebrations or to keep in your hotel room for a small treat each night.

Amorette's also offers a popular cake decorating experience. This class is by reservation only and costs $199 plus tax and includes up to two people and one cake to decorate. During this experience guests will decorate either a Mickey or Minnie-inspired dome cake taught by one of Amorette's expert pastry artists. This class lasts 90 minutes and also includes beverages including specialty coffee, tea, water, and select alcoholic beverages.

Goofy's Candy Company is confectionary offering many types of candy, fudge, cotton candy, caramel apples, and other Disney-inspired treats.

This store is another counter service dessert location which offers mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app. However, a fun experience not included on the My Disney Experience app is the create your own treat experience offered daily between 12pm and 10pm. Guests can fill out a card and indicate their choice of treat, dipping flavor, and additional toppings. Treats include caramel apple, Mickey crisped rice cereal treat, red velvet cake pop, chocolate cake pop, or marshmallow. The dipping flavors consist of either white or milk chocolate, and the additional toppings include sprinkles, Oreo cookie crumbs, mini marshmallows, chocolate drops, and more.

Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew is located at Disney Spring's West Side area and offers an extremely unique variety of donuts and cold brewed coffee. Aside from the already uniquely flavored donuts, guests can order donut sandwiches including The Donut Burger, which includes two patties and American cheese. One of our favorite combinations is the Purple Topper, which is the Purple Reign iced chai tea topped with a Purple Glazed Ube donut. I usually recommend sharing these desserts with a friend or family member because they are large and very rich in flavor. Many, including myself, believe Everglazed has the best donuts on Disney World property.

Sunshine Churros, also located in the Marketplace, offers classic churros, dipped churros in Nutella or milk chocolate, or gourmet churrons with choice of strawberry cheesecake or Oreo.

Best Disney Springs Desserts – Table Service Restaurant Locations

While all table service restaurants offer dessert, we believe the following restaurants offer the the best tasting and unique desserts. 

The Edison or Enzo's Hideaway Restaurant

A savory dessert option is the “clothesline” candied bacon appetizer offered at both The Edison and Enzo's Hideaway restaurant. The bacon is coated with maple, black pepper, and comes with sweet and spicy pickles.

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'

Served during lunch and dinner, the Hummingbird Cake at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' restaurant is a fan favorite. It combines pineapple-banana cake with cream cheese frosting and is served with vanilla bean ice cream. They also offer a Signature Sampler which includes the Hummingbird Cake, Chocolate Pecan Pie, and Carrot Cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

While there are many desserts to choose from at Disney Springs, the following list is what we believe are the best desserts at Disney Springs.

5. Swirls on the Water DOLE Whip Sampler: This kiosk offers the most unique DOLE Whip flavors that you can't get anywhere else on Disney World property. The sampler is a great way to try unique flavors that can be easily shared.

4. Salt & Straw Ice Cream: Salt & Straw offers the best ice cream at Disney World. Our favorites include the Honey Lavender and Salted, Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, but feel free to sample any flavor that looks appealing.

3. Goofy's Candy Company Build Your Own Treat Experience: Goofy's Candy Company offers a fun and tasty build your own treat experience that doubles as a unique souvenir.

2. Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew: Everglazed offers donuts for everyone in the family. We recommend skipping the basic donuts in the theme parks and stopping by Everglazed instead.

1. Gideon's Bakehouse Cookies: This location is popular for a reason and lives up to the hype. Gideon's is a first class cookie and dessert shop which is a must do for all dessert lovers at Disney Springs. Gideon's cookies are considered one of the Top 10 Most Addictive Desserts at Disney World.
