As we all know, a vacation to Disney World can be expensive. Most Disney World visitors ask if there is an all inclusive Disney World package, and if so, what does it include and is it worth the cost? The short answer is no, there is not one all-inclusive Disney World package. However, Disney World offers several individual packages that are worth the cost and peace of mind while planning your vacation that can offer similar benefits of an all inclusive Disney World package.
These various packages also allow guests to pick and choose what is most important to them. For example, certain packages depend on if you want to stay at a Disney World resort, use the Disney Dining Plan, or purchase multi-day theme park tickets. Additionally, guests can decide if they want to make dining reservations or purchase Genie+ which will need to be booked separately from your package. These individual packages and extras can be overwhelming, however, they allow parties to truly customize and make their Disney World vacation exactly how they want it without overspending.Â
I am a Disney World annual passholder, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, and frequently plan Disney World trips for myself and my family. In this article I will discuss the different packages Disney World offers, if they are worth the cost, and what they include. I will also discuss additional add-ons and reservations for your trip that you may want to consider.

What does a Disney World Ticket and Hotel Package Include?
Many guests opt to book their Disney World tickets and hotel together in a single package which is pretty close to an all inclusive Disney World package. Aside from the perks of staying in a Disney World resort which I discuss more below, this package is straight forward and does not include any other items such as food. However, Disney's vacation planning website for these packages is very user-friendly and can help you compare the cost of various resorts and tickets depending on the length of stay. For example, tickets are typically more cost effective the longer you stay.Â
Disney World will also advertise discounts on certain resorts during certain times which can save you hundreds on your resort and ticket package. For example, right now Disney World is offering a spring 2024 discount of between 25% and 30% off rooms at select Disney resorts between March 25 and July 7, 2024. The longer you stay, the higher the discount.
Although the option to book your Disney World resort and tickets is easy and convenient, we highly recommend checking out our 2024 Discount Disney World Ticket guide before purchasing tickets. You may be able to get much cheaper tickets through different avenues including AAA, military, or even purchasing an annual pass. Disney World also has a Special Offers, Deals & Discounts guide for various discounts which is periodically updated.Â
Magical Extras
When you book a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package through Disney World's website, your family also receives many Magical Extras on dining, entertainment, shopping, and more which help create a type of all inclusive Disney World package. These extras include, but are not limited to:
- Miniature Golf:Â Receive four vouchers per package for one 18-hole round of miniature golf. Disney World has two courses to choose from: Fantasia Gardens and Fairways and Winter Summerland Miniature Golf.
- ESPN Wide World of Sports:Â Receive four vouchers per package for a one-day general admission ticket to the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex valid on certain event days.
- Splitsville Luxury Lanes:Â Receive 10% off the non-discounted price of bowling (walk-in only), the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages (dine-in only), or the non-discounted price of merchandise.Â
- Dining:Â Receive 10% off food and non-alcoholic drinks at various Disney Springs restaurants including The BOATHOUSE, City Works Eatery & Pour House, House of Blues Restaurant & Bar, and T-REX.
- Shopping: Receive 10% off or more your entire purchase at various retail stores such as Balocoloc Venetian Masks in EPCOT, Basin at Disney Springs or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, or The LEGO Store (exclusions apply).
Perks of Staying at a Disney World Resort
In addition to the Magical Extras and top tier rooms, service, and amenities at Disney World resorts, there are several other perks included with a Disney World stay, including:
- Early Morning Magic Hours which allows resort guests to enter any Disney World theme park 30 minutes early
- Extended Evening Hours which allows deluxe resort guests to enjoy extended evening park hours on select days
- Free transportation between your resort, Disney's theme and water parks, and Disney Springs
Lastly, Disney World recently announced starting in 2025, all Disney resort guests will have free water park admission on check-in day. These can all be similar to what perks are offered in an all inclusive Disney World package.

Disney Dining Plan
Once you choose your Disney World resort and tickets, you will have the option to add a Disney Dining Plan package, this helps you create an informal all inclusive Disney World package. This package can be a great money saver and a huge convenience during each day of your Disney World vacation. If you plan on eating at least two meals at Disney World's various restaurants each day, I highly recommend this package. However, for those who plan on bringing their own food or prefer to snack more than eat full meals at Disney World, this may not be the package for you. Also, you must be staying at a Disney World resort in order to add this package.Â
Guests ages 3 and older are eligible for the dining plan. Disney recently announced children ages 3 through 9 will also receive a discount of 20% off their Disney Dining Plan.Â
There are two types of Disney Dining Plan packages to choose from, which include:
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan
The Quick-Service Dining Plan includes the following items per guest over three years old per night of stay:
- Two quick-service meals
- One snack or non-alcoholic drink
- One resort refillable drink mug which allows guests unlimited refills on soda, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate at any resort quick-service location
Disney Dining Plan
The Disney Dining Plan includes the following items per guest over three years old per night of stay:
- One quick-service meal
- One table-service meal
- One snack or non-alcoholic drink
- One resort refillable drink mug
Guests using either dining plan receive their meals and snacks each day until the day of checkout. Any unused meals or snacks will over over day to day and expire at midnight on the day of checkout.Â
Disney World Vacation Package Add-Ons and Reservations
The following items are add-ons you can purchase to make your Disney World vacation even more magical and convenient. These add-ons include Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes which, when purchased, allows guests to experience popular attractions with very little wait time. Although not required, we recommend considering the following as they may save a lot of time and money during your trip.Â
- Genie+: Guests can purchase Genie+ each morning of their vacation for either one park or multi-parks if you plan on park hopping. Guests of Disney World resorts can start making attraction reservations are early as 7AM, and non-resort guests can make reservations starting when the park opens, regardless of being physically inside the park. Genie+ allows guests to choose which attractions and when they would like to skip the regular line and go through the lightning lane, previously known as FastPass. Guests can then continuously make more Genie+ reservations every two hours or after they experience the attraction. The price of Genie+ depends on the park(s) and date of park visit, but is a very useful add-on and can help guests experience more of the parks without waiting in line.
- Individual Lightning Lane:Â Individual Lightning Lane is similar to Genie+, however it is a separate one time purchase per attraction. Individual Lightning Lanes are used for the more popular attractions such as TRON Lightcycle / Run, Rise of the Resistance, and Flight of Passage. This is another great option to experience Disney World's most popular attractions without waiting in a long line.
- Dining reservations: Whether or not you purchased the Disney Dining Plan, we highly recommend making reservations for any of the sit-down table restaurants, including character dining restaurants. Check out our favorite sit-down restaurants here. You are free to make dining reservations 60 days in advance starting at 6 AM online or in the MyDisneyExperience mobile app. Although quick-service restaurants never require reservations, we recommend using the MyDisneyExperience mobile app to preorder your food. This saves a lot of time waiting in line to order food, especially on busier days!
- Memory Maker:Â Memory Maker is another add-on which allows guests access to all of the Disney PhotoPass pictures taken throughout your trip. This includes ride photos as well as any taken by a Disney World PhotoPass cast member throughout the parks. When purchased in advance, Memory Maker is $185 and gives access to vacation photos within 30 days of activation. Memory Maker is also available for one day only priced at $75. If you wait until during or after your vacation, Memory Maker costs $210.Â

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all rides included in Disney World tickets?
Yes, all rides, attractions, shows, and character meet and greets are included with your Disney World ticket. However, fast passes, now known as Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane, must be purchased. Genie+ allows guests to skip the regular line on at least 2-3 attractions per day. The price of Genie+ depends on the day, as holidays and weekends will increase the price. Genie+ is also less expensive if you are only using it for one park vs two or more parks within the same day. Individual Lightning Lane allows guests to skip the line for one popular attraction, such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The price of Individual Lightning Lane also depends on the ride and date. For example, the Individual Lightning costs between $10-$12 for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, however, it costs $20 for TRON Lightcycle / Run.
Are drinks included with Disney World tickets?
No, drinks are not included in the price of a Disney World ticket. The only unlimited refill cups Disney World offers are the resort refillable mug and the water park refillable mug. Both are great money savers, however, they cannot be used within the Disney World theme parks or at Disney Springs. Guests using the Disney Dining Plan also receive a resort refillable mug included within their package.

Is it cheaper to book Disney as a package?
It is not always cheaper to book Disney as a package. Although Disney does offer various discounts on hotel stays and tickets depending on when you stay or how long, there are other avenues to find cheaper tickets. There can be ways to purchase cheaper tickets through resellers including Get Away Today, Costco, AAA, or through military and Florida resident discounts.
