Disney's private Club 33 is a topic of interest for countless Disney fans whose top bucket list item is to step foot into the ultra-exclusive space. Between the club's exorbitantly high membership cost and a reportedly decades-long waiting list, experiencing it can be easier said than done as access is restricted to the members, their guests, and high-level Disney executives.
Now, the exclusive club will be getting the film treatment as a new Club 33 movie is in the works. Keep reading for more details about what to expect from the new movie and a look at its plot!
New Club 33 Movie Details
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Darren Lemke (who has worked on films including Goosebumps and Shazam!) will be writing the script of the movie, which will be “set in a fantastical world about the club.” The movie will reportedly have a similar vibe to Clue and Night of the Museum.

Here is the synopsis of the movie shared by the Hollywood Reporter:
“For Club 33, the story centers on Kim, a young aspiring detective living in present-day New York, who receives a mysterious invite to the highly secretive Club 33. In this case, it’s a magical and exclusive dining club that exists outside of time and space. The club’s members are the greatest and most iconic members from the past: geniuses, royalty and history-makers.
When a murder is committed moments after her arrival, the patrons look to Kim to solve it. Kim, who despite her brilliance can’t seem to get out of her own way, must rise to the occasion and find a way to capture the criminal amidst the greatest minds history has to offer.”
This looks like a really interesting premise with a lot of fun possibilities! The comparison of the movie's essence to Clue and Night of the Museum is especially intriguing. That said, I am curious to see how Club 33 members who typically prefer to be left anonymous feel about a movie further advertising the presence of the club. There is also a Club 33 location in Disney World.
