After a sellout of Magic Key passes earlier this year in January where several visitors rushed to get passes, Disneyland reopened Magic Key sales in March in a less eventful sale that implemented a change being tested to improve virtual ticket queues. The keys have remained on sale since then.

Disneyland Pauses New Sales of Magic Key Passes
As the start of summer at Disneyland is drawing closer, Disneyland has shared an update that they have paused new sales of Magic Key passes. Current Magic Key holders have the opportunity to renew their pass during their renewal window, and Disney noted that the number of passes and pass types that will be available for renewal may be limited.
This news comes ahead of the summer special Disneyland recently announced that will soon be debuting for visits during June 10 through September 26, driving locals to look to that deal. The ticket offer is available to all guests and tickets can be used at any time during the period.
This deal is specifically exciting and unprecedented because it is rare that Disney will open up sales like these to all guests. Previously they have just been for Southern California residents or California residents.
