Today is an exciting day as a $2 billion Disney expansion introducing a new themed port featuring Frozen, Peter Pan, and Tangled has now opened at Tokyo DisneySea! This is the biggest land expansion yet for the resort and introduces four new attractions, dining locations, a merchandise shop, and a new hotel.
Even though this new themed port is opening at a Disney Park overseas, it could potentially serve as inspiration for the DisneylandForward expansion which recently received its final vote of approval. The attractions that are debuting all look very impressive, and the debut of the first Tangled land at a Disney Park is particularly exciting for fans who have long wished to see more of Tangled represented at the parks.

New Fantasy Springs Themed Port at Tokyo DisneySea Now Open
The now-open Fantasy Springs is home to some exciting attractions like the first-ever Tangled ride called Rapunzel's Lantern Festival which enables guests to experience the iconic floating lantern scene from the film, the 3D Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, the boat ride Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies where you'll shrink down to the size of a fairy.

Fantasy Springs also gives you the chance to dine in Tangled's infamous The Snuggly Duckling and explore other new dining options like Lookout Cookout inspired by the Lost Kids as well as Frozen-inspired locations like Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Oaken’s OK Foods.
During the approval process for DisneylandForward, Disney referenced this massive expansion at Tokyo DisneySea. As the DisneylandForward expansion moves forward, it's possible that a Frozen land is destined for Disneyland, and we are crossing our fingers that some new Tangled-inspired additions will be featured based on what we're seeing at Fantasy Springs.
