Walt Disney World Refurbishment Calendar 2024
Here is a Walt Disney World refurbishment calendar to help you plan for any anticipated closures for any upcoming trips you may have to the resort this year! Disney may make changes due to a number of constraints such as staffing or weather changes so it's always good to check the day of your trip on My Experience App to see if anything has been modified.
It's good to be prepared especially if you have kids so there are no unexpected disappointments on the day of your vacation.

- Splash Mountain- Closed for its transformation into Tiana's Bayou Adventure and will be opening on June 28, 2024. Previews are currently taking place for the ride.
- Country Bear Jamboree- Closed on January 27, 2024 for its reimagining. The show will reopen as “Country Bear Musical Jamboree” on July 17, 2024. In the reimagined show, the bears will be reinterpreting favorite Disney songs in different genres of country music.
- Peter Pan's Flight – Closes for refurbishment on July 8 and reopens on August 21, 2024.

- Test Track closed on June 17 for its reimagining, and no reopening details have yet been shared. Disney shared that this new iteration of the ride will take inspiration from the original World of Motion.

- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – Closed on January 8, 2024 and is now reopened. Its reopening date was pushed up to July 1 after previously showing as opening on July 27 on the app, but the ride opened ahead of schedule on June 30th.

- Voyage of the Little Mermaid – Disney announced that a new show called “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” would be replacing Voyage of the Little Mermaid. The new Little Mermaid show at Animation Courtyard Theater opening later this year will focus on storytelling from Ariel's point of view and feature new additions and technology.
Animal Kingdom

- Primeval Whirl – Permanently closed and removed from the park
- A new Zootopia show will be replacing It's Tough to Be a Bug at the Tree of Life theater. Details have not yet been shared for when the show will close.
- Dinoland U.S.A. will be reimagined into a land inspired by the tropical Americas. It has been teased that Encanto and Indiana Jones could be featured in this reimagined area. Disney has not yet shared a closing date for the land for construction to begin.
