There are multiple types of Universal Express Pass. Essentially, for each park, there's a standard Express Pass and an Express Pass with additional benefits. As a reminder, with Universal Express Unlimited Pass, you will be able to skip the regular lines at participating rides and attractions as many times as you'd like. Free? That can't be right… Actually, it is! When you stay at one of Universal Orlando's Premier Hotels, one of the perks is that you will receive Universal Express Unlimited Pass at no additional cost to you. Again, with this pass, you will be able to skip the regular lines at participating rides and attractions as many times as you'd like. You will still need to purchase valid admission tickets to the parks, but you won't need to worry about purchasing an Express Pass because again, that will be free!

Universal Orlando has three Premier Hotels that you may choose from in order to get this free Express Pass: Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. You will not only receive the free Express Pass when you stay at one of these hotels, but you will also receive rest of the benefits that come along with staying at a Universal Orlando Resort Hotel.

  • Early Park Admission – Enter Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure up to 1 Hour prior to the park opening time. You may enter Volcano Bay up to 30 Minutes prior to park opening.

Express Pass with VIP Access

At Universal Orlando Resort, you have the opportunity to go on VIP Guided Tours. This is called the VIP Experience. During the VIP Experience, you'll be taken through the parks by a Universal Orlando expert. You will learn insider information, receive backstage access, and enjoy rides and attractions without waiting in line. With a 1-Day, 2 Park Experience, you will have a seven hour tour with priority entrance to a minimum of ten rides and attractions. With a 1-Day, 1 Park Experience, you will have a five hour tour with with priority entrance to a minimum of eight rides and attractions at the park of your choice. Is Universal Orlando Express Pass Worth It?

There are a LOT of rides and attractions at Universal Orlando Resort. The good part about Universal Express Pass is that almost all of these rides are included in pass. A lot of times, you'll go to a theme park and only a limited number of rides and attractions are included in their FastPass system. For this reason alone, I feel like the Universal Express Pass is most definitely worth it. Especially when the parks are more crowded.

I received Universal Express Unlimited Pass when I stayed at Lowes Royal Pacific Resort. My visit was during Spring Break so it was very nice not having to wait in the longer lines that were created by the Spring Break crowds. Even during that busier time, we were able to get everything done that we wanted to do and didn't feel like our day was wasted.

When it comes to vacationing, time and money are both big factors that should be considered. You don't want to pay the price to go to a theme park and then end up not being able to do a lot of the experiences.
