The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort is a dinner and show in one. There is hula dancing, fire breathing, and an all you can eat tropical feast. Here is a nine year old's view of the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show.
During the winter holiday break, my family went to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort. When we walked into the restaurant, they handed us these flower beads called Leis. We sat at a four person Hawaiian style table. There was a show and bunches of food.
The show was awesome! Our table faced the red curtains, which opened shortly after we sat down. It was like a movie or a play right there in the restaurant. A man and woman appeared and started singing and then the tricks started. The tricks reminded of yoga or maybe even gymnastics. The fire dancer was the best part of the show. He spun the baton covered in fire around and around and then even under his leg. The whole show was like a drama with hula dancers and the other Hawaiian items.
Eating dinner while watching the show was fantastic. They had rice, beef, chicken, pork, fish, and beans. Servers delivered the rice first, then the salad bowl, and finally the meat. I had already eaten half of the rice by the time the meat showed up. I loved the beef especially since it was shredded and easy to eat.
The best part of dinner was the dessert. I have never seen a steaming chocolate volcano before! Of course, I didn't get to eat the chocolate volcano. I did get to eat a strawberry cake with oozing goo that tasted like sweet strawberries.
I can't wait until we can go back to the Spirit of Aloha!
