Right now is a transformative time for the west side of Disneyland as lots of construction is taking place for ride reimaginings, improvements, and new additions.
The majority of Critter Country recently closed at the start of May to add two new Princess and the Frog shops, and Disneyland's Haunted Mansion closed earlier this year to introduce an expanded outdoor queue, gift shop, and elevator exit from the attraction for guests with disabilities. Meanwhile, Tiana's Bayou Adventure is also under construction as the ride is making progress for its opening later this year.
Now, Disney has shared some updates on closures in this area of the park as they continue to make improvements and introduce new additions.
Updates to Disneyland's New Orleans and Critter Country Area
While we already know about some of the bigger changes mentioned above, Disneyland has now shared a series of smaller closures that guests should be aware of.

Disneyland shared that the bridge connecting New Orleans Square with Galaxy’s Edge will temporarily close starting on July 8, 2024. During this time, guests can get to Galaxy’s Edge through the Frontierland entrance. This is the bridge that runs along the edge of Hungry Bear Restaurant.
The Disneyland Railroad Station in New Orleans Square is not available for boarding and loading due to construction happening between Tiana's Palace and the Haunted Mansion. The train will continue to run, and guests who need an accessible entrance can use the stations in Toontown and Tomorrowland.
Popcorn and churro carts may be temporarily relocated as construction continues in this area.
In Critter Country, the Hungry Bear Restaurant will temporarily close for kitchen refurbishments starting July 8, 2024. The restrooms near the restaurant will also be closed during this time.
Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes will temporarily close due to nearby construction starting July 8, 2024.
The Critter Country Fruit Cart will also be temporarily closed starting July 8, 2024.
