Lone Ranger Pushes Johnny Depp and Pulls Back Armie Hammer in this Trailer and Movie Posters

Interestingly Johnny Depp's Name Comes Before Armie Hammer's

Disney recently released the official trailer and movie poster for the upcoming film ‘Lone Ranger'. As you can see in the poster below and as you will see in the trailer, Disney has decided to tell the story from Tonto's(Johnny Depp) point of view. Previously in the Lone Ranger television series Tonto had always been the sidekick, but now he has been pushed onto center stage.

Leading up to the release of the trailer I had heard mixed things about the film. I am very happy to tell you that all of those worries were put to rest after seeing the trailer that puts our nations history and the old west at the forefront.

Disney describes this Jerry Bruckheimer film as a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor. They describe the retelling of the story that I just discussed as it being brought to life through new eyes. In the new movie Tonto(Johnny Depp) will tell the story of John Reid (Armie Hammer), as he transforms from a man of the law into a legend of justice.

A Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films presentation, “The Lone Ranger” is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski, with a screenplay by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio and Eric Aronson and Justin Haythe (credit not final). ‘The Lone Ranger” releases in U.S. theaters on July 3, 2013.

Check out the gallery I put together of images from the production on our Facebook page. Here is one picture as a teaser.

What do you think of the concept for the new movie? Can Disney pull it off?
