15 Ways You Could Get Kicked Out of Disney Theme Parks

A visit to a Disney park is a dream come true for many. From the iconic characters to the enchanting attractions, the parks offer a world of magic and wonder! However, it's essential to remember that every park has its rules for a reason.

In this article, we will explore 15 ways you can find yourself facing expulsion from Disney parks. By being aware of these boundaries, you can ensure a magical experience for you and everyone around you.

Line Jumping

Cutting in line or attempting to gain unfair advantages over other guests is strictly prohibited. It not only disrupts the park's operations but also disrespects fellow visitors. Cutting in line may also cause turmoil between guests, leading to fights or disagreements, which definitely puts a damper on the Disney magic. Disney promotes fairness and expects guests to wait their turn like everyone else!

Unauthorized Use of Tickets

Manipulating or misusing Genie+ or Lightning Lane is strictly forbidden. Each Lightning Lane is assigned to a specific guest and cannot be transferred. Violating this rule can lead to expulsion and potential consequences for the original ticket holder. Trying to avoid scanning your ticket to ensure you do have a Lightning Lane is also prohibited and will get you into trouble.

Disability Access Services are provided to guests with disabilities to ensure equal access to attractions. Misusing or fraudulently obtaining these passes is a severe violation of park policies and can result in expulsion as well.

Bringing In Certain Objects

Besides the obvious prohibited objects such as firearms, weapons, etc. there are a few objects which are banned or regulated at the Disney Parks. Strollers larger than 31” (79 cm) in width and 52” (132cm) in length are not permitted, and stroller wagons are also not allowed. Make sure that your stroller fits those dimensions to avoid getting denied access to Disney World!

Selfie sticks, lawn chairs, and megaphones are also not permitted in the parks. Make sure to consult the Disney websites before your trip to ensure you are not bringing any banned objects.

Taking A Swim On Rides

Though this may seem obvious to some, in recent times many guests have jumped out of their ride vehicles. For the safety of yourself and everyone around you, please follow the rules of the parks and stay inside your ride vehicle! Doing this will get you kicked out of the Disney parks and can even get you banned from property.

Theft or Vandalism

Engaging in theft or vandalism of any kind is strictly prohibited. Stealing or damaging property, including park merchandise or any other guests' belongings, is not only illegal but also undermines the experience for everyone around you. If you are caught stealing anything at Disney Parks, you may be faced with serious legal issues.

Unauthorized Access

Entering restricted areas, including backstage areas and off-limits attractions, can result in immediate expulsion. These areas are crucial for maintaining the park's operations and safety, and unauthorized access poses a risk to both guests and Cast Members. It also may take away from the magic of Disney operations.

Unauthorized Photography or Recording

Guests are not allowed to film or take photographs in certain areas or during specific experiences. Some rides such as Tron Lightcycle Run require a chest-mounted Go Pro in order to film your experience. Taking photos of backstage areas may also get you into trouble at Disney World, and it's important to respect the park's policies and the privacy of other guests. Violating this rule by capturing footage or images where it's prohibited can lead to expulsion from the park.

Intoxication or Substance Abuse

Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol to the point of causing disruptions or endangering oneself or others can result in immediate expulsion. Disney parks prioritize the safety and well-being of all guests and have a zero-tolerance policy for such behavior. Make sure to always consume alcohol safely, and bring proper identification if you are of drinking age.

Costumes or Dress Code Violations

While dressing up as your favorite character is a fun part of the Disney experience, guests above the age of 14 are not allowed to wear full costumes inside the parks. This is to avoid issues with safety, as some may confuse guests in costumes for Cast Members or characters. Additionally, guests must adhere to the park's dress code, which prohibits offensive clothing or attire that may obstruct safety or offend other guests.

Smoking In The Parks

Disney parks have recently removed all designated smoking areas in the parks, and smoking in the parks is strictly prohibited. If you want to smoke on Disney Property, the only place you can do so is at designated smoking areas outside at some resorts. Make sure to do your research beforehand so you can avoid getting into trouble. Disregarding this rule can lead to expulsion, as it not only violates park policies but also affects the comfort and health of other guests.

Harassment or Inappropriate Conduct

Engaging in any form of harassment or inappropriate conduct, including unwanted advances, offensive gestures, or any behavior that makes others feel uncomfortable, is strictly prohibited. Disney parks prioritize the safety and well-being of all guests, and such actions will not be tolerated.

Disruptive behavior such as fighting, using offensive language, or creating disturbances can quickly lead to expulsion. Disney parks are family-friendly environments, and maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere is of the utmost importance.

Defying Height and Safety Restrictions

For the safety of all guests, attractions have height restrictions that must be adhered to. Attempting to bypass these restrictions by stuffing children's shoes or encouraging others to do so can result in expulsion.

Safety is paramount, and rules exist to protect everyone. If your child is not tall enough to ride a certain ride, try to find one that they would enjoy that does not violate their safety. Height restrictions, though sometimes inconvenient, are extremely important in upholding safety in the Disney Parks!

Refusing to Comply with Cast Member Instructions

Cast Members are trained to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. Refusing to follow their instructions or acting in a manner that hinders their ability to perform their duties can lead to expulsion.

Cooperation and respect for Cast Members are essential for maintaining a magical atmosphere when you visit the Disney Parks.

Unauthorized Sales or Solicitation

Engaging in unauthorized sales, solicitation, or distribution of materials is not permitted within Disney parks. Engaging in political demonstrations is also prohibited from the parks. Guests should respect the park's policies and refrain from conducting any commercial activities and demonstrations without prior approval.

Repeatedly violating park policies or showing a disregard for the rules can result in expulsion or potential banning from the parks. Disney Parks strives to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, and individuals who repeatedly disrupt that atmosphere may face serious consequences.

  1. Disney obviously does not strictly enforce the above mentioned items.
Just being at The parks both MK & EPCOT I notice 3 people carrying YETI coolers
Several selfies sticks and 2 LARGE WAGONS!
and always people cutting in line like at FLIGHT OF PASSAGE or RISE OF THE RESISTANCE.
This does go on constantly and should be addressed.
