Hampton Inn Anaheim Review: Perfect For Disneyland

When visiting the Disneyland Resort, it is always very tempting to stay right on property or in a big hotel just steps from the gate, but both can take a heavy toll on your wallet.

The hotels a little farther away from Disney can provide a great relief in price and even more amenities. Budget-concious travelers or those who are tied to a hotel loyalty program, should usually look to the hotels on Harbor boulevard and those surrounding the Disneyland resort.

Hampton Inn and Suites anaheim review

When I was visiting Anaheim for the 2013 D23 Expo, I chose to stay at the Hampton Inn Suites Los Angeles/Anaheim-Garden Grove. This hotel is a member of the Hilton hotel family and proved to be the perfect choice for us.

The Hampton Inn lobby was recently redone and now sports colorful designs similar to ones that you may see at the Disney Paradise Pier hotel. Some of the photos in the lobby are even of places inside of Disneyland Park. The feeling in the lobby was that of class and luxury which was a very nice touch.

Hampton Inn Anaheim Rooms

The hotel’s rooms resemble those that you would see around the county in every Hampton Inn, but that is a good thing. The rooms are decorated with mellow creamy color tones–the entire room is pleasing to the eye. The furniture and bedding are very comfortable except the pillows were not as comfortable as I would have hoped. if the pillow is not to your liking, perhaps you can ask for a different pillow. Some of the extra amenities include the in-room wifi, microwave, mini-fridge, and microwave.

The Hampton Inn also provides a fitness center, pool, and included breakfast.

While I had no time to go to the fitness center while I was rushing around the D23 Expo seeing the sights, I did take the time to walk around and preview the area. The center provided weights, treadmills, and other machines.

The morning breakfast consisted of a variety of cereals, pastries, yogurts, fruit, and of course the famous Hampton Inn waffles.  The breakfast was nourishing and was a great way to start of the day.

The front desk was very accommodating throughout our stay. At night they provided some sort of snack for guests checking in and for those people returning from a tiring day out and about. Each night after we returned from the D23 Expo we felt like we were returning home.

In conclusion, the Hampton Inn Suites Los Angeles/Anaheim-Garden Grove was the perfect accomodation for our trip the D23 Expo, and for anyone’s trip to Disneyland.

Have you ever stayed at the Hampton Inn Anaheim?

  1. We stayed at the Howard Johnson’s just across the road (and up a bit) from Disneyland when we attended the Disney Infinity Press Event at the El Capitan Theatre last January. It was excellent! The price was very reasonable and we could see the monorail gliding by from our balcony. AND we could see the fireworks from our balcony as well. We’d highly recommend it!
