It seems that Disney and Marvel have begun their publicity campaign for the super hero movie of the century. Entertainment Weekly is giving fans a first look into ‘The Avengers’, Marvel’s highly anticipated film, in their latest issue.
The new issue of Entertainment Weekly features some new photos from the film, pictured below, and an article with the cast and crew where they talk about the film and what it’s like to be a part of Marvel’s superhero epic. Marvel’s the first studio to attempt anything of this magnitude, and if it does well, could be a game changing for movie making.
The film, directed by Joss Whedon, features an all star cast including starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, and Tom Hiddleston. The film deals with a global threat too great for just one hero, and in a last ditch effort to save the world, Nick Fury (Jackson) assembles the Earth’s mightiest heroes Iron Man (Downey, Jr.), Thor (Hemsworth), Captain America (Evans), Black Widow (Johansson), Hawkeye (Renner), and the Incredible Hulk (Ruffalo) to stop the impending doom. Over the last four years, Marvel Studios’ films have all been leading to this, and I can't wait to see it. This is something I never imagined I’d see, and is easily my most anticipated film of next year. ‘The Avengers’ hits theaters on May 4, 2012.
