Walt Disney World grocery delivery is a great way to save money on your Disney vacation. There are many stores nearby Disney World that deliver groceries to Disney World hotels. Depending on the delivery service, you can take advantage of free trials with free delivery and more.
Being on vacation can be tough on anyone’s stomach and wallet. Luckily it is relatively easy to use Disney World Grocery delivery for your Disney World hotel for the days or week you will be staying. Keep reading for our full guide on Walt Disney World grocery delivery.
How Does Disney World Grocery Delivery Work?
When visiting Walt Disney World resorts you have two options for groceries: go to one of the local grocery stores in the area and get your food or have groceries delivered.
When on vacation, no one wants to make an extra stop at the grocery store to get what you need, so having your groceries delivered to your resort is going to save you time and let you get your vacation started right away.
When you choose to have groceries delivered, unless you are buying alcohol, the delivery service will leave your items with bell services until you can get them.
Having the bell service option also allows you to order your groceries before arrival at the resort so the groceries can be there when you arrive for check-in. However, if you can’t get a delivery time that works for your arrival, or if you are arriving before check-in, bell services will put any perishable items in the fridge/ freezer they have and will hold your other items in the storage area.
We have had items delivered to bell services while we were on the way back from a park and back from Disney Springs previously and it has always been great! When you are ready to pick up your items, simply go to bell services, give them the name the order was under, and they will provide you with the items you had dropped off.
If you pick your groceries up from bell services yourself, it is free to have them hold the items. If you want the items delivered directly to your room, Walt Disney World is charging a $6 per package handling fee that is received through the front desk or delivered to your hotel room.
Please also remember to tip any members that assist with your grocery delivery!

Disney World Grocery Delivery Services
Here are the top Disney World grocery delivery services that can deliver to your hotel.
Walmart Grocery
Walmart is now offering Grocery Delivery through Walmart+ which is Walmart’s response to Amazon Prime. It is $99 per year, but you can get a free trial for 2 weeks to use while you are at Walt Disney World.
When you are a Walmart+ member, delivery is free for your groceries as long as you spend at least $35.
Delivery Process
- Download the Walmart app or visit www.grocery.walmart.com.
- Enter the address of your hotel and select a delivery time. (we have always had luck getting same day delivery)
- Add your items to your cart and choose substitution preferences
- Check out
Walmart Grocery delivery has a lot of benefits that make it our top choice for resort delivery. If anyone in your family is forgetful, Walmart allows you to add items to your order until a few hours before your scheduled delivery. The app will let you know the deadline when you place your order.
When it is time for delivery, you will get a text or a notification from the Walmart app letting you know about any substitutions or out of stock items. You can change or modify anything you need to at that time. There are a ton of Walmarts in the area, so if you are looking for specific items, it is easy for your shopper to find them at one of the convenient locations, so you can expect to get most of your items most of the time.
You will also receive a text/notification letting you know what time to expect your delivery. You can be specific in a note to your driver as to if you will meet them or if they should drop your items at bell services.
Walmart has been great about the low prices and carrying the items we usually get at home making grocery shopping incredibly easy and stress free. You don’t have to do too much planning ahead for your grocery delivery. The biggest downside is the delivery fee if you are not already a Walmart+ member.
Instacart
Instacart is another delivery service that allows you to pick which store you want items delivered from and the timeframe you want them to be delivered in. Instacart is a service that many are familiar with and allows you to place multiple orders from different places at one time.
In Orlando, the stores available through Instacart are Publix, Aldi, Sprouts, Walgreens, Target, CVS, ABC Fine Wines and Spirits, Costco, Sam’s Club, The Fresh Market, BJs Wholesale Club, Family Dollar, 7-Eleven, Save-a-lot, and more.
We recommend Instacart as our second option because there are so many stores to choose from at one time. In addition, you can choose your substitutions ahead of time for your shopper. Instacart also has a feature that allows the shopper to chat with you and send you pictures of what the store has in stock making it easier to get the right items you need for your vacation.
To order:
- Go to instantcart.com or download the app
- Create an account and enter your address
- Pick the store you want delivery for
- Add items to your cart
- Pick a delivery time
- Check out
Instacart delivery must be over $10 and delivery fees begin at $3.99 for same-day orders over $35. Fees vary for one-hour deliveries, club store deliveries, and deliveries under $35. Instacart+ members get free delivery on orders over $35 or more per retailer. There are also service fees based on location and items in your order. This does not include the tip to your driver.
Instacart will let you know ahead of time if a store is going to mark-up their prices to accommodate delivery or not. Most stores are good about not marking up prices for items.
There can, unfortunately, be a lot of fees associated with using Instacart delivery, but we think they are worth it for the more personalized delivery service available.
Amazon Prime Delivery
If you have an Amazon Prime Membership already, Prime Grocery Delivery may be the best option to have food delivered. It is our third recommendation due to the limited availability of some items and pick-up times.
You can choose from Amazon Fresh Foods or Whole Foods Market Foods. When shopping, choose from categories like produce; meat and seafood; dairy, cheese, and eggs; snacks and pantry staples; frozen; beverages; beauty, health, and personal care; and household essentials.
When on the website, simply enter the address of the resort that you are staying at, choose delivery, and begin adding the items you need to your cart.
If you choose the Whole Foods Market foods, there is a delivery fee for $9.95. The Amazon Fresh Foods also has a delivery fee of $9.95 unless you spend at least $50, then the delivery fee drops to $6.25. If you spend at least $97.00, the delivery fee drops to $3.95 and if you spend at least $147.00, you will get free delivery.
The Whole Foods Market has more options than the Amazon Fresh, but there are typically more delivery times available with Amazon Fresh. If you choose to go the route of Amazon Grocery, make sure to check what specific food options are available ahead of your trip so you can save time when you are ready to place your order.
Amazon is a great service because most people are extremely familiar with the layout and ordering process. We have used it a lot in the past for our grocery delivery and have always been satisfied.
Garden Grocer
Garden Grocer is another popular delivery service for groceries in the Orlando area. This service is a local service to Orlando and has been around for a very long time. Due to this, they are extremely experienced with grocery delivery on property.
To order from Garden Grocer
- Create Your Account
- Start Shopping for your products
- Check out with your resort information and what time you want your groceries delivered.
The website has access to over 5,000 different items in categories such as: Beverages; Breads and Baked Goods; Breakfast Foods; Condiments; Dairy; Deli; Frozen; Healthy Eating; International; Liquor, Beer and Wine; Snacks, Cookies, and Candy; Pasta, Grains, and Sides; Produce; Sauces, Spices, and Baking; Soups and Canned Goods; Vegan; Natural and Organic; Baby Essentials; Health and Beauty; and Household Products. They also have a special section for Park Essentials.
Garden Grocer delivers to most Walt Disney World hotels.

When checking out, you will pick a time frame for delivery. The time frames for Walt Disney Hotels are 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm, or 4pm-9pm.
If you are staying at a Disney partner hotel, the following hotels are included in delivery:
- Four Season Orlando at Walt Disney World
- Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek (Must be Present to Accept Delivery Between 8am and 4pm)
- Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek (Must be Present to Accept Delivery Between 8am and 4pm)
- Wyndam Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek (Must be Present to Accept Delivery Between 8am and 4pm)
- Dolphin Resort
- Swan Resort
- Swan Reserve Resort
There is a $40 minimum order requirement. Delivery is free if you spend at least $200. If you spend under $200, the delivery fee is $15.
The downside to Garden Grocer is that they do ask for you to place your order for delivery at least two days in advance. If you were to need to reschedule your delivery, Garden Grocer asks for a minimum of THREE days before the scheduled delivery date is needed to avoid a 25% restocking fee. Canceling your order within 24 hours or on the same day would result in a 50% restocking fee. If you would like to reschedule your order, you will avoid the restocking fee. In addition, you have up until 48 HOURS prior to your delivery date to add on to your order. Removals require THREE days before your delivery date to avoid any restocking fees. Additions can be made online through the website by adding the item(s) to your cart, then add to the existing order option. You are only allowed three separate occasions to place add-ons.
Because of the delivery fees and the strict rules of adding and modifying your grocery order, we think this is still a good option, but not the best option on the list.
Why Should You Use Disney World Grocery Delivery?
Simple. Grocery shopping in the area is much cheaper than buying snacks at Walt Disney World. If you are staying for a few days or more, having snacks, breakfast items, bottles of water, and some fruit and vegetables are going to be important.
You can get items in each gift shop at the resorts. Resorts that have villas and studios are going to have a bigger food selection than value resorts, but the mark-up on these items is significant.
Ordering groceries is going to help to save your family a lot of money. You won’t have to buy essentials in the gift shop, and you won’t have to pay a super marked up price for fruit when your kids are craving something other than chicken nuggets and french fries.
In addition, you can also get important items that Disney may not carry, for instance, dairy-free coffee creamer or milk or gluten-free items. Knowing that your favorite foods and allergy-friendly foods can be stocked in your room will provide peace of mind as you are exploring all Walt Disney World has to offer.
If you have kids, this can be a great way to get the snacks and foods they are used to eating. We have had to buy numerous pouches from the gift shop previously, and they tend to add up quickly. I wish we would have just brought some comfort food from home or put some more comfort foods in our grocery order.
Having a snack in your park bag is also handy for when you are waiting in line for a ride and your stomach starts to growl or your kids begin to have a melt down. It is not always convenient to go and find the nearest snack cart if you are trying to get somewhere fast or if you are waiting for a parade or fireworks show to start. Keeping just a few grab and go items in your bag for the day will still allow you to enjoy all of the special treats Disney has to offer but being prepared for those just in case moments.
Eating breakfast in your room can also save time in the morning. You can grab a quick granola bar on the way to the buses or have your kids eat cereal while you finish packing the park bag. Overall, just a few groceries can make the difference between an easy morning or a melt down.
What Food Should You Have Delivered?
You can have any food delivered to the resort that you want for the week. The resort rooms will vary depending on if there is a kitchen or a kitchenette. Disney is constantly updating what is available in each room, so it is a good idea to view updated room tours when possible or call and ask.
For the most part the value, moderate, and deluxe hotel rooms and studios are going to only have a beverage cooler (with no freezer section), a coffee maker, and a toaster. A microwave is available on a first-come-first serve basis, so as guest services if this is something your family needs. The exception to this is the All-Star Music Suites. With the new refurbishment, Disney has installed a full fridge/ freezer combo.
When staying at Deluxe Villas, Bungalows, and Cabins, including the Moderate Fort Wilderness Cabins, guests will find a fully equipped kitchen (including utensils!). Some villas even include a dishwasher.
This is important to know because, with a kitchenette's beverage cooler, not a full fridge, the food you purchase may not be as cold as you are used to. We have stored milk and creamer with no issue, but if you are worried about keeping food at a safe temperature, you may want to skip some of the dairy items.
