Disney has announced that they will be working with DMG Entertainment of Beijing to distribute the upcoming ‘Iron Man 3.'
The stars of the previous two films, Robert Downey, Jr., Gwynneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle, will return to work on the third movie, but the new film will be directed by Shane Black unlike the first two movies which were directed by two installments which were Jon Favreau.
Filming will begin in May, and in China late in the Summer; the movie is said to come out in May 2013.
The LA Times discusses why Disney chose to partner with the Chinese firm rather than distributing it themselves. They discussed how foreign films have a harder time getting into the country, because of censorship and movie caps. But, because Disney will be filming in China they are already allowed in, promising a large release gross.
