The park has an interesting backstory that feeds into its overall theme. According to the park’s backstory, a strange winter snow storm landed over part of Disney World. It was quickly turned into a ski resort, then when the weather returned to normal, it was transformed into a water park to better fit the need, but the melting snow remained for the theming. Many of the attractions feature normal snow themed events into just water events.
While the theme of the park is awesome, you may be wondering how to visit and experience it for yourself.

Disney Blizzard Beach Tickets
When purchasing tickets to the water park, there are a few different options to choose from.
For park tickets, there are multiple types to choose from:
1 Day Water Park Ticket
A 1-Day Water Park Ticket is a great choice when you want to spend a fun-filled day chilling out at a Disney water park.
You have 2 convenient 1-day ticket options, depending on when you wish to visit:
- 1-Day Water Park Ticket – $74 per adult or $68 per child (ages 3 to 9)
- 1-Day Water Park Tickets with Blockout Dates – $64 per adult or $58 per child (age 3 to 9)
The current block out dates are: May 25 to September 29, 2024 and May 24 to September 28, 2025.
Disney Water Park Season Pass
Visit a Disney water park again and again with the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass–through May 24, 2024, with no blockout dates. The pass applies to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, whichever is open.
- Water Park Pass $79 per adult
- Water Park Pass $73 per child (ages 3-9)
Park Hopper Plus Ticket
If you are interested in visiting more than just the water park, you can also visit the Disney theme parks.
Through the purchase of a Park Hopper Plus Ticket, you can visit multiple theme parks each day of your ticket, plus enjoy a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits and a 5-day ticket allows 5 visits.

Water and Sports Ticket
If you are interested in visiting a Walt Disney World Theme park, one of Disney’s theme parks, and one of the sports options in the neighborhood, you can choose the Water and Sports ticket.
With this ticket, you can visit one theme park each day of your ticket. Plus, you get a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 3-day ticket allows 3 visits, and a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits.

There are 12 total attractions at Blizzard Beach.
The attractions at Blizzard Beach are diverse enough for families of all ages!
- Thrill Attractions located in Blizzard Beach include:
- Summit Plummet: Plummet down Mount Gushmore on one of the tallest, fastest free-fall body slides in the world.
- Runoff Rapids: Take the plunge on a trio of different inner-tube waterslides
- Toboggan Racers: Race your way down this 8-lane waterslide
- Slush Gusher: 90-foot, high-speed waterslide in the shadow of Summit Plummet. (48” or taller)
- Snow Stormers: Choose from 3 different waterslides on a toboggan-style mat
- Downhill Double Dipper: Race against a friend on side-by-side high-speed slides plummeting 50 feet downhill at exhilarating speeds (48” or taller)
- Steamboat Springs: group whitewater raft adventures, for up to 6 riders
A specialty area at Blizzard Beach is the Ski Patrol Training Camp. Here guests, typically older kids and tweens, can challenge themselves.
- Thin Ice Training Course – Test your balance by walking across ice floes.
- Fahrenheit Drops – Drop in on the “T-Bar,” a zip line that ends with a splash in 8.5-foot-deep water (for Guests 5 feet tall and under).
- Frozen Pipe Springs – Thaw out on an enclosed body slide.
- Cool Runners – Coast on an inner tube down curved slides flanked by melting snow.
- Snow Falls – Make a splash on a downhill body slide
Blizzard Beach also features Tike’s Peak where more kid-friendly attractions can be found.
- Tike’s Peak is a Frozen (yes, the movie!) themed kid play area. This area is a specialty made for children 48’ and under. Kids can participate in activities like
- Wading pools with whimsical depictions of Olaf, his Snowgie pals and other familiar faces from Frozen
- Anna and Elsa’s igloo fortress—where kiddos can engage in playful battles with pop-up water jets
- Miniature snow-banked slides
- Side-by-side downhill slides
- A junior inner-tube ride
- Snow chutes

Wholesale Resale Stores
Another way to save money is to go to Sam’s Club, Costco, or other wholesale resale stores that occasionally sell discounted Disney tickets on the floor. They don’t typically advertise when they are coming, so you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

Blizzard Beach is not included as an option on standard one park per day tickets or Disney World park hopper tickets—those only work at the four theme parks. You have to buy a separate water park ticket or choose the plus add on option to visit the water park.
The main difference between Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon is the theming. Buying the park tickets for each water park is the same.
