Hello again, I'm Disney fan-artist, Tony Sherg. My hobby is creating Disneyland posters for my favorite attractions and experiences. Today I would like to share with you the latest complete poster series that I have created entitled, “Dark Rides–A Disneyland Tradition.”
The focus of this particular series is based upon the classic Disneyland dark rides that have set the standard for storytelling, use of special effects, and audio-animatronic wizardry across the world. Many have tried to re-create Disney's style of dark ride, but none ever seem to compare.
The Disneyland dark rides are something that I personally connect with on an emotional level. Growing up 15 minutes away from Disneyland is one of the greatest blessings, and to this day, I am still amazed how much I continue to love these attractions.
Of course, with my style of art I faced a few challenges with bringing these story-driven attractions to life in the form of my posters. Using the character's appearance as the main focal point allowed me to visualize how I could break down the character's features to the most minimal and recognizable level. I also wanted the overall color palette of this series to have a darker and more mysterious tone compared to some of my other works.
I hope that you enjoyed all of these Disneyland Minimalist posters. For more of my work, sign up for the Disney Dose newsletter or visit our Facebook page.

These are so cool. Takes me back in time and reminds me of some of the art done as you walk through to get to Main Street.
So glad that you like them!
