1. Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
The cheapest Disney hotel option is getting a campsite at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. This is a beautiful place to camp with access to swimming, archery, horses and more. It's a great way to combine a camping experience with a Walt Disney World trip all in one. There's campsites for tents, pop up campers or RVs depending on what your preference is.
One of the best perks of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is that it's close to Magic Kingdom, allows pets and also offers the option of cabin rentals if you want the wilderness experience with a bit more comfort. The recreation is all geared around the outdoors with plenty of options for fishing, kayak & canoe rentals, wagon rentals, pony rides and its own marina with boat rentals.
Camping isn't for everyone and there's definitely more preparation that goes into getting a campsite over a traditional hotel. While there is a pool and food on site, there isn't the same traditional resort amenities as the other resorts provide which may not be the experience some families are looking for.
A campsite starts at just $74 per night with savings of even more if you book using one of Walt Disney World's discounts that typically take place seasonally throughout the year.
2. Disney's All Star Sports Resort
Disney's All Star Sports Resort is the the top cheap Disney hotel at Walt Disney World. This hotel will always have the lowest price out of the rest but this doesn't mean it's the worst hotel by any means. All of the Walt Disney World on-site hotels all have the perks of being close to the parks and come with the benefits of that close proximity. The reason this hotel falls into the cheapest category is because it's considered a value resort and the sports theme is likely less popular than the other themes in the value category.
All Star Sports Resort focuses its sports theme around baseball, basketball, football, surfing and tennis along with a touch of Disney characters added to the mix. The main pool is in the shape of a surfboard, there's a large food court with a variety of food options plus it's the first stop on the bus transportation the value resorts share.
Some of the drawbacks of this hotel is the bus transportation can include multiple stops to get to and from the resort and if there's athletic tournaments visiting the ESPN Wide World of Sports or group teams visiting Walt Disney World they will often stay at this hotel.
Disney's All Star Sports starts at just $142 per night with savings of even more if you book using one of Walt Disney World's discounts that typically take place seasonally throughout the year.
3. Disney's All Star Movies Resort
Disney's All Star Movies Resort is one of the favorites among cheap Disney hotels. This hotel features larger than life tributes to iconic Disney films like Toy Story, Fantasia, 101 Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks and the Love Bug. This resort is near Animal Kingdom making it a short bus ride away. One of the best features of this hotel is the Fantasia themed pool!
One of the benefits of this resort is that the amenities are close proximity to most of the hotel rooms so you don't have to worry about lengthy walks around the hotel. The food court offers plenty of options and this hotel easily has some of the most favorable theming of the value hotels, especially for the nostalgic Disney fan and kids.
The bus transportation at All Star Movies Resort isn't the best with long wait times and multiple stops along the way since it shares buses with the other value resorts. This hotel is also the last stop on the route making it a long wait to get back to your resort when heading back for a break from the parks or at the end of the day.
Disney's All Star Movies Resort starts at just $167 per night with savings of even more if you book using one of Walt Disney World's discounts that typically take place seasonally throughout the year.
4. Disney's All Star Music Resort
Disney's All Star Music Resort focuses on popular music genres such as country, jazz, rock ‘n' roll, calypso and Broadway show tunes. The main pool is a guitar-shaped themed Calypso Pool and there's also a keyboard-shaped Piano Pool. You will also spot familiar Disney characters incorporated into the theme of the hotel so while it may focus on music, there's still Disney magic found around every corner.
One of the benefits of this value resort is that it's the only one that has suites and standard rooms in the same building which can be great for families that may be meeting in groups. Like the other value resorts, you can enjoy a large food court with plenty of food options for everyone's tastes. Kid's love the larger than life themes of the value resorts making these a great hit for a reasonable price.
Some of the drawbacks are similar to the other value resorts with the shared bus transportation slowing down your travel to/from the parks and the value resorts do not have water slides nor table service restaurants at their resorts.
Disney's All Star Music Resort starts at just $173 per night with savings of even more if you book using one of Walt Disney World's discounts that typically take place seasonally throughout the year.
5. Disney's Pop Century Resort

The theme of this resort focuses on the later decades of the 20th century which areas of the resort themed to trends of the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s. You will see giant bowling pins, yo-yos, beloved Disney characters from these eras and more. This resort has a great atmosphere and brings many repeat guests back again!
One of the best benefits of this resort that sets it apart is it's the cheapest Disney hotel you can stay at with access to the Disney Skyliner which can transport you to/from Epcot and Hollywood Studios. There is also a great food court with the Art of Animation being a short walk away if you want to check out their food options.
You will have to transfer when using the Skyliner station so be sure to line up early otherwise you could end up in a long line in the morning. Like other value resorts, there's no water slides, hot tubs nor table service restaurants.
