Recently I had the chance to sit down with Tom Ameen, the celebrated pianist to discuss how he got involved with music and his love for Disney.
So far he has released renditions of the following Disney Parks Songs:
Fantasmic!, for anyone who doesn’t know is a nighttime spectacular that happens almost nightly at Disneyland in the Disneyland Resort, Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World and Tokyo DisneySea in Tokyo Disney Resort.
Golden Dreams, is the theme song of the American Adventure, the world’s biggest audio-animatronic show. This awesome show runs all day in the World Showcase at Epcot.
The Wonderful World of Color, was the first version of the Disneyland Television show that was in color. The song that Tom Ameen has recorded is the theme song of that show. Today, most people know it from the World of Color water show in Disney California Adventure.
All of the above songs along with pop songs, Firework, Born This Way, and Express yourself are all sold on Tom Ameen’s CD, Solo Piano Moments
In this interview we talked about the way that Disney music and movie scores can make someone fall in love with the idea of playing and creating that music.
Another topic in our conversation was whether Disney would ever release more of their Disney Parks soundtracks.
One more special thing that we added into this interview was the exclusive release of the Main Street Electrical Parade and Illuminations.
Now sit back relax and enjoy this wonderful interview with Tom Ameen the legendary Disney pianist.
